International audience This paper presents an approach for building data collections and cloud services required for building intelligent transport applications. Services implement Big Data analytics functions that can bring new insights and useful correlations of large data collections and provide knowledge for managing transport issues. Applying data analytics to transport systems brings better understanding to the transport networks revealing unexpected choking points in cities. This facility is still largely inaccessible to small companies and citizens due to their limited access to computational resources. A cloud service oriented architecture opens new perspectives for democratizing the use of efficient and personalized big data management and analytics.

Two stages are revealed in the development of state labour reserves. The first period lasted from 1945 to 1948, and the second period - from 1949 to 1952. The distinctions of these two stages were determined. The author analyzes the dynamics of quantity and the structure of institutions in the system of state labour reserves in the Astrakhan, Saratov and Stalingrad regions in postwar years. The social and economical factors that had influence on this system were identified. The characters of principal patterns of SSLR's education institutions is provided, the common lines and singularities, significance changes were denoted. The share of young ones from the childish houses into the industrial, handicraft and railways schools in Low Volga River is exposed. The criteria of entering into the education institutions were determined. The interaction of SSLR with children houses was exhibited. The author highlights the status of stuff basis of SSLR in postwar years: shortage of educational buildings and student's homes, equipment's deficiency in industrial workshops and textbooks. The positive changes in staff-technical guarantee of educational institutions to the end of learning period are opening; their causes were analyzed. The author reveals the alterations in staff structure of SSLR and calculates the number of preparing workmen from factory and plant instruct schools; industrial, handicraft and railways schools for enterprises of the Lower Volga region in the fourth five-year plan. The article marks the significance of SSLR in the solution of economic and social problems in postwar society. The author distinguishes the common and the individual in the development of SSLR in the Lower Volga region and in Russia on whole. (author's abstract)

Die Untersuchung geht von semantischen und semiotischen Botschaften der Diakonie aus und beleuchtet kritisch verbreitete diakonische Profilierungsversuche, die im Zusammenhang mit abgrenzenden Identitätskonzepten stehen. Demgegenüber wird ein Dienstleistungsdesign zur Anwendung gebracht, das in Übereinstimmung mit dem in der UN-Behindertenrechtskonvention verankerten Ansatz eines universellen Designs steht.Aus der Außendarstellung der Diakonie werden Rückschlüsse auf aktuelle organisatorische Herausforderungen der Diakonie gezogen, die zur Überwindung der im Verhältnis zwischen organisierter Diakonie und verfasster Kirche bestehenden morphologischen Fundamentalismen ebenso beitragen wie zur Bewältigung der Umbrüche der Moderne, denen sich die christliche Religion im Spannungsfeld von Verkirchlichung und Verweltlichung insbesondere in Ostdeutschland stellen muss.

Increased global competitions have urged small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to develop new products faster. Virtual research and development (R&D) teams in SMEs can offer a solution to speed up time-to-market of new product development (NPD). However, factors that affect the effectiveness of virtual teams for NPD are still not adequately verified. This paper presents the correlations between virtual R&D team constructs and virtual team effectiveness by developing a "Virtual Research and Development Team" (ViR&DT) model. The items, which may influence the effectiveness of virtual teams, are taken from the literature. Through an online survey and by application of structural equation modeling (SEM) technique, the proposed model (ViR&DT) has been tested. The results suggest that the process construct is strongly correlated to the effectiveness of virtual teams. Therefore, NPD managers in virtual R&D teams should concentrate on the process of new product development rather than simply equipping the teams with the latest technology or employing highly qualified experts. Further empirical research is recommended to fully explore and appreciate the breadth of application of the ViR&DT model.

Karl Steel argues that the benefits of academic blogging outweigh its potential humiliations, and that academic conferences should post their papers publicly and allow for comments so that conferences, in a sense, never end. Graduate students and junior scholars should be encouraged to blog to help build a community and a trade in ideas, and to accustom them to the feelings of exposure and humiliation common to all writing, which will thereby train them to become more confident scholars. Jeffrey Jerome Cohen examines some of the difficulties posed by the age of e-medieval: an internet culture of negativity. Blogging entails finding strategies for managing harsh or off topic comments, as well as for coping with unwanted attention. Drawing on the pedagogical distinction Nancy Sommers makes between process and product, Mary Kate Hurley examines the role blogs might play in creating a communal space in which to share unfinished ideas. Blogs might be an ideal medium for the process of thinking, rather than the finished work of having had thought. Eileen A. Joy argues there may be more value in thinking and ������working through������ our scholarship online, in an ������open������ environment that promotes and invites democratic, catholic, and convivial support, as well as the accidental tourist and silent voyuer, than there is in the traditional ������finished product������ of a journal article or book. "Mit dieser Ausarbeitung möchten der Autor die Betriebsverhandlungen in Frankreich betrachten und besonders auf einen Aspekt der industriellen Beziehungen Bezug nehmen, der von der soziologischen Forschung bisher nur wenig behandelt wurde. Die Beauftragung eines Angestellten mit dem Aushandeln einer Betriebsvereinbarung mit dem Arbeitsgeber stellt das Privileg der Gewerkschaftsvertreter in Frage, die grundsätzlich das Monopol auf diese Verhandlungen haben. Einerseits führte diese Praxis zum Abschluss zahlreicher Vereinbarungen im Rahmen des Gesetzes über die 35-Stunden-Woche (1998-2002). Andererseits weicht dieses Verfahren von den traditionellen Regeln ab. Mit diesem Aufsatz möchte er zeigen, inwiefern die Beauftragung nicht gewerkschaftlich organisierter Mitarbeiter 'neu' ist. Sie führt zu Vereinbarungen, die nicht als 'minderwertig' betrachtet werden können. Er wird im Gegenteil erklären, warum eine große Zahl dieser Vereinbarungen zu günstigeren Arbeitsbedingungen führt als die klassischen Abkommen. "Dieser Artikel berichtet über den Verlauf und die Resultate einer zweijährigen Langzeitstudie, welche den Einfluss eines Wissensmanagement-Projekts auf organisationale Kommunikations- und Entscheidungsstrukturen evaluiert hat. Das Wissensmanagement-Projekt hat bereichsübergreifende Communities of Practice in einer großen Automobilfirma eingeführt. Die Autorin verwendete einen Forschungsansatz, der 'balancierte Evaluation' genannt wurde und es ermöglichte, Änderungen der organisationalen Kommunikations- und Entscheidungsstrukturen aus verschiedenen Perspektiven mit mehreren Forschungsmethoden zu erforschen. Dieser systemtheoretische Ansatz für die Erfolgsmessung eines Transformationsprozesses wird beschrieben und mit traditionellen Ansätzen verglichen." (Autorenreferat)
