Abstract

Payer stellt die Funktion von Weltanschauungen für Philosophie und Wissenschaft sowie E. Topitschs Beitrag zur Klärung dieser Zusammenhänge dar. Einerseits sieht Payer die Möglichkeit und Notwendigkeit einer Weltanschauungskritik von der Position empirisch-analytischer Wissenschaften her, andererseits "ist jedoch zu bezweifeln, daß man Sprache je wird vollständig hintergehen können", daß also dieses Programm konsequent durchführbar ist, weil Sprache nicht nur sein Gegenstand, sondern auch sein Medium ist.
