Krisensymptom Übergangssystem: die nachlassende soziale Inklusionsfähigkeit beruflicher Bildung

Abstract

Eine große Anzahl von Jugendlichen findet nach dem Schulabschluss keine Lehrstelle. In diesen Fällen greift das sogenannte Übergangssystem: Es bietet Schulformen und Maßnahmen für Jugendliche, die von den allgemeinbildenden Schulen abgehen und nicht sofort einen Ausbildungsplatz finden. Ziel dieses Systems ist, den Jugendlichen den Übergang in ein reguläres Ausbildungsverhältnis zu erleichtern. Doch sowohl dieses pädagogische Ziel, als auch die Charakterisierung als System werden von Christian Schmidt kritisch beleuchtet. Der Band analysiert ausführlich die historisch-systematische Entwicklung, die Strukturen sowie Wanderungsbewegungen innerhalb des Übergangssystems. Er kommt zu dem Ergebnis, dass die Krise des Übergangsystems symptomatisch für die Krise des Berufsbildungssystems insgesamt ist. A large number of young adults cannot find an apprenticeship position after graduating from school. In these cases the so-called transition system becomes effective: it offers school types and measures for young adults who leave general educational schools and cannot find a training vacancy immediately. The aim of this system is to make the transition into a traditional trainee employment relationship easier for the young adults. However, Christian Schmidt critically views both the pedagogic aim as well as the characterisation as system. The publication extensively analyses the historico-systematical development, the structures as well as the migratory movements within the transition system. He comes to the conclusion that the crisis of the transition system is symptomatic for the crisis of the professional educational system as a whole.
