AbstractThis study investigates whether political connections affect labor investment efficiency. We test this question in the context of China's private firms, where we find that political connections are negatively associated with labor investment efficiency. We also explore the channels through which political connections reduce labor investment efficiency and provide evidence that political connections aggravate both agency problems and information asymmetry. Further tests show that the influence of political connections is more pronounced for firms with overinvestment problems or high‐level political connections, and for firms from regions facing severe unemployment or loose anticorruption. Overall, our results are consistent with the "grabbing hand" argument that politicians destroy firm operational efficiency.

AbstractThis paper analyses the online text comments in the online trading platform and identifies the abnormal and contradictory comments. Firstly, the abnormal contradiction detection and analysis model of online text reviews is constructed based on fuzzy ontology to identify the abnormal and contradictory online text reviews. Secondly, the fuzzy emotional ontology and emotional tendency analysis method identify abnormal and contradictory online text reviews. The online text review anomaly detection and analysis model constructed enriches the process and method of online review anomaly identification.

AbstractFrom the perspective of intelligent manufacturing, combined with cyber‐physical system, big data, Internet of things, cloud computing, industrial transformation and value chain concepts, this paper studies digital manufacturing, also called intelligent manufacturing. Intelligent manufacturing is explored from the perspective of the supply chain and industry chain. In this paper, other topics in the integrated big data‐driven intelligent manufacturing is also discussed.
