Pemilu dan Partisipasi Umat Islam
Pemilu merupakan wahana pesta "demokrasi" untuk mengangkat kepemimpinan nasional. Para politisi dan kader-kader partai telah dan sedang mempersiapkan diri untuk menghadapinya. Bahkan partai-partai besar tertentu telah "mencuri start" dengan melakukan penggalangan massa melalui aktifitas-aktifitas yang mereka sebut konsolidasi partai dengan memanfaatkan momen-momen penting, seperti hari lahir partai, musyawarah daerah, saresehan, dan kunjungan silaturahim ke berbagai instansi yang dipandang potensial untuk meningkatkan jumlah pemilih partainya. Berbeda dengan situasi di atas, beberapa kalangan kritis yang tergabung dalam floating massa (massa mengambang) justru menyuarakan agar masyarakat tidak terlibat dalam kegiatan Pemilu alias golput. Gagasan ini boleh jadi muncul disebabkan oleh kekecewaan yang cukup mendalam terhadap kinerja para pemimpin, baik eksekutif, yudikatif, maupun legislatif. Secara sosiologis para calon pemilih adalah mayoritas Umat Islam. Implikasinya Umat Islam dihadapkan pada beberapa pilihan strategis: pertama strategi akomodatif justifikatif; kedua, isolatif-oposisional; ketiga, strategi integratif kritis. Masing-masing pilihan membawa konsekuensi tersendiri.Strategi yang paling kecil resikonya dari bahayanya adalah strategi integratif – kritis. Atas dasar itu, masihkah umat Islam berpikir untuk memilih menjadi golput.

PERANAN FORUM KERUKUNAN UMAT BERAGAMA DALAM MEMBINA KERUKUNAN UMAT BERAGAMA DI KOTA BENGKULU
Abstract: This study raised the issue of the role of religious harmony forum and enabling and inhibiting factors in fostering religious harmony in the city of Bengkulu. From the results of this study indicate that there has been dialogue, socialization Joint Regulation of the Minister, gave a written recommendation on the request for the establishment of houses of worship, fostering inter-religious harmony, internal religious communities and religious groups and the government. But success in fostering religious harmony is still far from expectations and can be said to be ineffective, it can be seen still rarely do inter-religious dialogue, no socialization laws on religious harmony to society, there has been no specific action in order the house of worship that no permit. Supporting factors in fostering religious harmony awareness, motivation, mutual understanding and tolerance between religious communities, the support of the Mayor by providing secretariat building facilities. While the limiting factor in fostering religious harmony in the city of Bengkulu is the infrastructure is not yet complete, the attitude of religious communities to theology, the political interests that carry the name of religion, and attitudes toward religious fanaticism.

Answering the question of why Muslims fall down suffering in many fields, including economics, is the work done by Chapra in this book. By using the model of the dynamics of socio-economic analysis of Ibn Khaldun, he began to read and trace the history of Muslims. KETIKA UMAT MENINGGALAKAN ULAMA: Perilaku Politik Umat Islam Pasca PRRI 1959-1972
This research is historical research. Aims to reveal the shift in political preferences of the Ummah in Pasaman District after the PRRI rebellion. In this study it was found that ulama are the most significant historically-factual-implicative social elite. This can be seen from the existence and influence of the Muhammadiyah and the Masyumi party in the early 1950s to 1957, two organizations which were significantly influenced by the ulamas. After the PRRI rebellion in 1957 and the operation of mass destruction of the remaining PRRI sympathizers in this area in 1958, there was a shift in the socio-political preferences of the Muslims in Pasaman Regency. Shifts in a very fast time span. Ulama which has been considered as the main reference in determining political choices, shifts to other social elites, local non-clerical political elites. The PRRI rebellion left psychological trauma for Muslims in Pasaman District, which contributed greatly to changing the socio-political preferences of the Muslim Ummah and decreasing the level of Islamic belief in the ulamas.

Development of waqf in Indonesia has now increased up to qash waqf (cash). In the historical perspective, waqf was most instrumental in developing social activities, economics and Islamic community culture by establishing the places of worship, education, health, social and public libraries, such as in the middle east. It will cause a lot of issues, such as unemployment, increasing levels of poverty, public health, namely the spread of infectious disease, malnutrition children, etc. this condition requires the presence of efforts at community empowerment through POSDAYA (Pos Pemberdayaan Keluarga). The establishment of quality family is not only the responsibility of government alone, but also required the active participation of the community, so it is needed a good cooperation among the community and government to create an independent community. POSDAYA is the one of excellent breakthrough in creating independent community.

Syariah Banking System aimed to support national development in improving justice, togetherness, and spreading of people's welfare. There are three characteristics of Syariah Banking System which are unique and synergize of each other i.e. theologist, locality, and economic democration. Those three characteristics will be the spirit of Syariah Banking System in empowerment of people in particular, moslems. In practice, Syariah Banking System has a number of function either in financial mediation, or in practicing its social function towards society. Even though currently Syariah Banking System experienced significant progress, efforts are still needed in encouraging the government to improve political will in development of Syariah Banking System, increase capital of Syariah Banking System, and to strengthen socialization of Syariah Banking System with broader scopes.

PERAN FORUM KERUKUNAN UMAT BERAGAMA (FKUB) DALAM MENJAGA KERUKUNAN UMAT BERAGAMA DI KOTA BUKITTINGGI
The City of Bukittinggi is a multiethnic and multireligious city, the life of the religious community in this city is generally conducive, meaning that there has never been a violent conflict, but actually has latent conflicts between religious groups because of differences in interests. Religious cases and social cases religious nuances that have accurred so far whether actual or not, prove that the latent conflict among religious communities is quite intense. This research wants to ding deeper into the condition of the diversity and harmony among religious communities in the city of Bukittinggi. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. The results of this study include: The general city of Bukittinggi has a fairly conducive condition, but has latent conflict between religious grups due to diffrences in interests and lack of intensive communication. The internal religious harmony in the city of Bukittinggi is quite good. The harmony between religious communities in the city of Bukittunggi seems to still have conflicts between religious, this is due to a lack of cooperation. The harmony of the religious community with the government in the city of Bukittinggi seems quite good. FKUB of Bukittinggi city has carried out its role in accordance with the duties of FKUB in PBM No. 9 and 8 of 2006.

Pada konteks Indonesia, dampak dari berbagai konflik maupun terjadinya konflik antar beragam keyakinan menyeruak ke permukaan pada awal milenium ketiga hingga hari ini. Segala permasalahan ini menuntut suatu dialog dan kerjasama yang saling terbuka antar kelompok-kelompok beragama, agar dapat berkontribusi dengan maksimal menuju suatu harmonisasi, kemaslahatan, dan kemajuan bangsa dan Negara. Semua umat beragama harus terlibat tulus dalam suatu dialog dan kerjasama di berbagai bidang seperti sosial, ekonomi, politik, kualitas manusia Indonesia, dan sebagainya. Abstract Indonesia has good potential that is contained in the soil, above the ground, in the air and in the water that can be used to empower the people's economy. In addition, Indonesia consists of approximately 1,340 ethnic groups with different customs. This research was conducted based on a literature study with various references to journals and books as well as some of the best and most updated articles. if managed properly to empower the people's economy, then Indonesia can have unparalleled economic power. To achieve these goals, several things are needed in economic development such as: an Islamic economic system, building an entrepreneurial spirit, community unity, government policies and awareness of zakat and its management. And the most important thing is to explore the local potentials of each region, because local wisdom can function as a resource, competitiveness and performance lever. UPAYA PENGURUS FORUM KERUKUNAN UMAT BERAGAMA (FKUB) DALAM MEMBINA KERUKUNAN ANTAR UMAT BERAGAMA DI KOTA SURABAYA
Abstrak Forum Kerukunan Umat Beragama (FKUB) suatu forum yang dibentuk oleh masyarakat dan difasilitasi oleh pemerintah dalam rangka memelihara dan mengembangkan kerukunan umat beragama dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat, berbangsa dan bernegara. Tujuan penelitian ini Untuk mendeskripsikan upaya yang dilakukan pengurus Forum kerukunan umat beragama dalam membina kerukunan antar umat beragama di Kota Surabaya dan Untuk mendeskripsikan keterlaksanaan program kerja yang digunakan untuk membina toleransi antar umat beragama di Kota Surabaya. Metode Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Informan dalam penelitian ini ada tiga orang, yakni ketua koordinator pengurus forum kerukunan umat beragama dan anggota pengurus forum kerukunan umat beragama perwakilan dari agama Hindu an agama Budha. Hasil penelitian ini adalah ada beberapa upaya yang dilakukan FKUB dalam membina kerukunan antar umat beragama yakni,dialog lintas agama, jaring aspirasi dan penyelesaian konflik dengan berjalannya ketiga program yang dibuat diharapkan dapat membangun jiwa toleransi antar umat beragama sehingga tidak timbul konfik antar agama. Kata Kunci : Toleransi Abstract Forum of Religious Harmony (FKUB) a forum formed by the community and facilitated by the government in order to maintain and develop religious harmony in the life of society, nation and state. The purpose of this study To describe the efforts made Forum Forum of harmony of religious communities in fostering harmony between religious communities in Surabaya and To describe the implementation of work programs used to foster tolerance among religious communities in the city of Surabaya. The research method used descriptive qualitative approach, data collection technique through observation, interview and documentation. Informants in this study there are three people, namely the head of the coordinator of the board of religious harmony forum and members of the board of religious harmony of representatives of the Hindu religion of Buddhism. The result of this research is there are several efforts made by FKUB in fostering harmony between religious people, interfaith dialogue, aspiration nets and conflict resolution with the running of the three programs made are expected to build the soul of tolerance among religious people so that no inter-religious conflicts arise.
