La nacion en la globalizacion: cambio estructural sin equidad en la democratizacion mexicana
In: Revista internacional de filosofía política, Heft 20, S. 45-71
Abstract
This paper explains, on the one hand, how 9/11 (2001) events negatively affected the current Mexican government's strategy, &, on the other hand, & more accurately, why the defeat of PRI, which marked the end of a long democratic transition in Mexico, was linked to structural change that deepened the nation's secular inequalities. From this point of view, the author argues for both a revision & a reform of the institutional structure of Mexican state as the only way to prevent democracy from being menaced & even overwhelmed by these inequalities. 13 References.
