Paradigm Deconstruction of Politicized Religion: An Efort to Re-position Religion in Public Area. Religionis often used as a political "commodity" by many candidates of chief executive and legislative leader throughusing jargons, slogans, issues in accordance with the term of religion as well as religious nuance. It can befound when the general or regional election will be undertaken soon. The behavior can be analyzed throughthe dramaturgi theory introduced by Erving Gofmann and identity manipulation theory stated by Amstrong.The behavior is also considered as a common legel when it is manifested in real, empiric, and factual life- andalso applied responsibility. ABSTRAKSebagai bangsa yang besar, dimana terdiri dari berbagai suku dan agama tentu konflik antar agama tidak bisa dihindari. Menurut Tarmizi Taher, gesekan beragama sering hadir dikarenakan kurangnya kesadaran dan pemahaman setiap pemeluk agama bahwa perbedaan adalah sesuatu yang menjadi sunnatullah. Sentimen beragama, sifat ingin benar dan ingin menang sendiri adalah aspek internal dalam masyarakat. Sementara aspek politik dan kekuasaan adalah aspek eksternal yang menjadikan masyarakat sebagai jalan menuju hidden mission pemangku kepentingan. Tarmizi Taher hadir ditengah-tengah hiruk-pikuk kerukunan beragama di Indonesia dengan berbagai konsep pluralitas dan model dakwahnya. Taher merumuskan berbagai mediasi guna menjembatani masyarakat yang majemuk agar menerima perbedaan satu sama lain. Taher juga sangat gencar mensosialisasikan konsep pluralitas beragama sebagai jalan efektif meminimalisir gesekan di tengah masyarakat. Menurut Taher, hal paling urgen dalam membina kerukunan beragama adalah dengan menjadikan tokoh berpengaruh di masyarakat sebagai juru bicara atau juru penengah sehingga nilai-nilai toleransi beragama dapat diimplementasikan dengan baik. Until this moment it can be said that the West still dominates in all fields, be it economics, technology, education, agriculture, military, industry and so on. This is motivated by the arrogance of the West who wants to dominate the Islamic world (the Eastern world that is not as Western as). It cannot be denied that Western domination certainly has negative implications for the generation of Islam, but it must also be acknowledged that the advance of the West has made the Muslims flinch and realize that the Eastern world has lagged far behind them. In general there are two kinds of Muslim responses to the progress of the West, namely there are those who accept but there are also those who refuse, even though the type of Muslim accepts there are two macaas, namely those affected by secularization-westernization and Islamic modernism. Therefore the thing that must be a handle for Muslims is consistent (istiqamah) against the teachings of Islam, only by adhering to the teachings of religion, then the concern about secularization-westernization certainly does not need to happen.
The people of Pesisir Barat Regency have local wisdom which, if understood, developed and managed properly, can contribute to regional development, especially in terms of tourism. Local wisdom is the ritual of tassel lawok. An interest in the Ngumbai Lawok ritual is an activity as an expression of gratitude for the fishing communities of Lampung Coastal to God for the favors they received while earning a living at sea. This text belongs to the type of field study while the nature of this writing is descriptive. This study aims to explain the Islamic tradition of Coastal namely the Ngumbai lawok ritual that comes from the ancestors needs to be enshrined. The process of implementing Ngumbai lawok fishing community in Pesisir Barat Regency is through three stages namely preparation, implementation and evaluation. The implementation of the Ngumbai Lawok ritual activities carried out in Pesisir Barat Regency does not yet have a significant contribution in the field of tourism. That is because the implementation of the Ngumbai Lawok ritual is still carried out traditionally and only relies on funds from the community (swadana) and has not been fully supported by the Regional Government of Pesisir Barat Regency.
Abstrak Masyarakat Lampung (khususnya di Kabupaten Pesisir Barat) juga memiliki kearifan lokal yang jika dipahami, dikembangkan serta dikelola secara baik, maka dapat berkontribusi pada pembangunan daerah, khususnya sebagai dalam hal kepariwisataan. Kearifan lokal yang dimaksud disini yaitu tradisi ngumbai lawok.Ngumbai Lawok adalah sejenis acara syukuran adat masyarakat Lampung Pesisir (khususnya yang ada di Kabupaten Pesisir Barat) atas rahmat Tuhan yang telah mereka terima dari laut. Ngumbai Lawok dilaksanakan untuk mengucapkan rasa syukur atas ikan-ikan yang melimpah dan laut yang ramah yang telah dinikmati oleh masyarakat, dan sebagai harapan agar keadaan berlimpah dan keramahan laut tersebut tetap berlanjut, dan bahkan bertambah.Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian lapangan (field research) yaitu penelitian yang mengangkat data dan permasalahan yang ada di dalam masyarakat. Sedangkan sifat penelitian ini adalah deskriptif, yaitu berusaha menjelaskan berbagai masalah secara cermat dan detail dengan menghubungkan berbagai data, sehingga diperoleh suatu gambaran yang jelas dari fokus penelitian. Adapun sumber data memiliki dua jenis yaitu sumber data yang bersifat primer dan sekunder. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Konsep religiositas dalamtradisi Ngumbai Lawok masyarakat nelayan Kabupaten Pesisir Barat, yaitu mereka menganggap hal tersebut merupakan warisan para nenek moyang mereka yang perlu dilestarikan yang tidak ada hubungannya dengan agama, meskipun dalam prakteknya menggunakan simbol-simbol agama. Adapun proses pelaksanaan Ngumbai Lawok masyarakat nelayan Kabupaten Pesisir Barat adalah melalaui tiga tahap yaitu tahap persiapan, tahap pelaksanaan, dan tahap evaluasi. Pelaksanaan kegiatan tradisi Ngumbai Lawok yang selama ini telah dilaksanaan di Kabupaten Pesisir Barat, belum begitu memiliki kontribusi yang signifikan dalam bidang pariwisata. This study discusses the Regional Regulation of Sukabumi Regency Number 11 of 2005 concerning the Control of Alcoholic Beverages and analyzes it through universal human rights principles as stated in the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR). The aim is to examine whether the regulation is in line with basic human rights principles. This research is a case study using a normative approach. Data were obtained from available documents which then are compared one to another. Based on the results of the study, it is found that the Regional Regulation of Sukabumi Regency tends to be discriminatory, in the sense that it only accommodates the interests of certain religious or belief groups and ignores the interests of other religious or belief groups. The results of this study conclude that the Regional Regulation referred to is not following universal human rights principles as stated in the ICCPR and which has also been ratified by the Government of the Republic of Indonesia through Law no. 12 of 2005 concerning freedom of religion or belief. The government should pay more attention to other crucial issues such as education, health, and public welfare, rather than getting lost in unimportant issues.
The reality is that Indonesia is a pluralistic country, where the people consist of various identities. Therefore, the founding father's choice of a democratic system was very appropriate. The reforms that took place in 1998 on the one hand had positive impacts such as the rule of law, eradicating corruption, collusion and nepotisme, as well as the implementation of regional autonomy and others. However, on the oather hand, the emergence of groups and organizations the in the previous era carried out underground movements, are now awaking and showing their original form, which tends to be exclusive and intolerants. This research is included in the library research category, which relies on in-depth analysis of scientific manuscripts in the form of book, journal and other. The results showed that in order to eliminate conflicts in the problem of relation between religious communities, it is necessary to clarify religious moderation, both from the government and elements of society, so that people can live together and side toegether and side by side with full respect and respect, but still comit to religious doctrine or their respective identities. Indonesia bukan negara agama dan bukan negara sekuler, tetapi mayoritaspenduduknya adalah Muslim. Relasi Islam dan negara pernah mengalami ketegangan, hingga akhirnya mencapai konsensus. Namun, konsensus itu secara historis mengalami distorsi dan kompleksitas di antara kaum Muslim sendiri maupun dengan pemerintah (negara), baik di masa Orde Baru maupun di Era Reformasi. Artikel ini mendeskripsikan perkembangan paham moderasi beragama di era Orde Baru dan Era Reformasi dan menelusuri pandangan elit Muslim dalam hubungannya dengan kebijakan moderasi beragama dan implementasinya pada era Presiden Soeharto dan di era demokrasi terbuka pasca jatuhnya rezim otoriter Orde Baru. Penelitian kepustakaan ini bertumpu pada analisis mendalam terhadap referensi dan literatur akademik. Studi ini menunjukkan adanya perbedaan dari aspek pemikiran dan konfigurasi aktor-aktor Muslim terkait dengan kebijakan dan implementasi moderasi beragama di kedua era tersebut. Seperti dipotret dalam riset ini, usaha-usaha mayoritas umat beragama di Indonesia dalam mengkampanyekan moderasi beragama, baik secara intelektual, kultural, dan politik, kiranya tidak pernah redup dan padam dengan cara, model, modifikasi dan aktor-aktor yang berbeda-beda sesuai konteks, tantangan, dan semangat zaman.
The actualization of the paradigm of cooperation between religious communities is the most important agenda for activists of inter-religious harmony, especially religious believers themselves. Especially for the people who live in a multi-religious area, because there is no religion teaches hatred in order to harmony between religious communities must be cared for and maintained well. In relations between religious communities, this is need for collective action in facing the challenges of the future of humanity, because of considering the reality of Indonesia which adheres to absolute multiculturalism. This research used field research to raise a phenomenon of cooperation between religious community in the village of Kiluan by used descriptive analysis techniques and direct interviews. The results of this study indicate that the cooperation carried out by the community is associative, namely the cooperative relationship that exists in every aspect of social life and also supported by government and local religious leader. In conclusion, if all the stake holders well cooperate in every social life, the paradigm of cooperation between religious communities is well actualized and fully tolerated.
