IPv6 provides more address space, improved address design, and greater security than IPv4. Different transition mechanisms can be used to migrate from IPv4 to IPv6 which includes dual stack networks, tunnels and translation technologies. Within all of this, network security is an essential element and therefore requires special attention. This paper analyses two transition technologies which are dual stack and tunnel. Both technologies are implemented using Cisco Packet Tracer and GNS3. This work will also analyse the security issues of IPv6 to outline the most common vulnerabilities and security issues during the transition. Finally, the authors will design and implement the dual stack, automatic and manual tunnelling transition mechanisms using Riverbed Modeler simulation tool to analyse the performance and compare with the native IPv4 and IPv6 networks.

Some properties of a first‐order integer‐valued autoregressive process (INAR)) are investigated. The approach begins with discussing the self‐decomposability and unimodality of the 1‐dimensional marginals of the process {Xn} generated according to the scheme Xn=α°Xn‐i +en, where α°Xn‐1 denotes a sum of Xn ‐ 1, independent 0 ‐ 1 random variables Y(n‐1), independent of Xn‐1 with Pr‐(y(n ‐ 1)= 1) = 1 ‐ Pr (y(n‐i)= 0) =α. The distribution of the innovation process (en) is obtained when the marginal distribution of the process (Xn) is geometric. Regression behavior of the INAR(1) process shows that the linear regression property in the backward direction is true only for the Poisson INAR(1) process.

Some characterizations and preservation properties of a–monotonicity are investigated. In particular it is shown that a mixture of binomial or Poisson distributions preserves the a–monotonicity of the mixing distribution. Also, a characterization of a class of infinitely divisible distributions, within the discrete α–unimodal class, is given. This characterization is the discrete version of that of ALAMATSAZ (1985) and KOTZ and STEUTEL (1988) in the continuous case.

Introduction: Pharmacovigilance (PV) is essential to detect and prevent adverse drug reactions (ADR) after a drug is marketed. However, ADRs are significantly underreported worldwide. Objective: The aims of this study were to document the knowledge, attitude and practices (KAP) of pharmacists toward PV and ADR reporting and to explore the barriers to implementing a fully functional PV program in Kuwait. Material and methods: Pharmacists working at governmental hospitals were asked to complete a paper-based 25-item questionnaire. Results: A total of 414 pharmacists received the questionnaire and 342 agreed to participate, giving a response rate of 82.6%. Most pharmacists were knowledgeable about the concepts of PV (61.5%) and ADRs (72.6%) and the majority (88.6%) was willing to implement ADR reporting in their clinical practice. Despite this positive attitude, only 26.8% of participants had previously reported an ADR and the main reason for underreporting was stated as not knowing how to report (68.9%). Barriers that hinder the implementation of a PV center included lack of cooperation and communication by healthcare professionals and patients (n = 62), lack of time and proper management (n = 57), lack of awareness of staff and patients (n = 48) and no qualified person to report ADRs (n = 35). Conclusions: Overall this study shows that hospital pharmacists in Kuwait had good knowledge and positive attitude toward PV and ADRs reporting. However, the majority of them have never reported ADRs. These results suggest that targeted educational interventions and a well-defined policy for ADR reporting may help increase ADR reporting and support the implementation of a fully functional independent PV center in Kuwait.

Background: Child abuse and neglect (CAN) is considered a serious problem worldwide. Dentists have a significant role in recognizing and reporting CAN cases. Aim: The aim of this study was to assess the CAN-related knowledge and educational experiences among Saudi dental graduates. Design: Self-administered questionnaires were distributed to dental graduates from all dental schools in Saudi Arabia (n = 1552). Bivariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses were performed to assess the associations between knowledge level and different predictors. Results: A total of 988 dental graduates completed the questionnaire. The majority of them were dissatisfied with the amount of education they had received in their school (56.4%). Around 60% of the participants had inadequate knowledge regarding CAN. Graduates from government schools who received dental education about CAN and female participants had significantly higher odds of having adequate knowledge scores than others (odds ratio = 2.0, 3.1, and 1.7, respectively). Only 39.5% of the participants felt confident in their ability to identify CAN cases, and only 9.7% knew how to report such cases. Conclusions: Graduate dental students have insufficient knowledge about CAN. More time should be dedicated to educating students about this important topic in dental curricula.

AIM: The primary aim of this qualitative inquiry is to explore the experiences of Registered Nurses working in Saudi Arabia, which was a guide to answer the question, "what are the lived experiences of Registered Nurses working in a selected government hospital in Eastern Region of Saudi Arabia towards workplace violence?" BACKGROUND: Workplace violence is a social phenomenon that needs a widespread campaign to eradicate. Incidence from all over the world continues to grow in number, especially among Registered Nurses in Saudi Arabia. METHODS: Descriptive phenomenology. Purposive‐convenience sampling was used in selecting 21 Registered Nurses as participants for individual in‐depth interviews. Data were gathered over an 11 month's period from September 2017 to August 2018. We used Colaizzi's method for analysing the data. COREQ criteria were adapted in reporting the results of the study. RESULTS: Three themes had emerged from the experiences of the participants: "co‐workers become unjust and violent"; "socio‐cultural divergence towards healthcare workers"; and "violence from outside influences affecting the workplace."
