Im zweiten Teil des Bandes wird den Sharia-Referenzen in islamisch geprägten Gesellschaften nachgegangen. Dies erfordert eine Auseinandersetzung mit dem mehrdeutigen Konzept von "Sharia" als Teil einer religiös geprägten Geltungskultur, die sich in einem Spannungsverhältnis zu einer säkularen Differenzierungskultur der Moderne befindet.
