Erasmus' thorough engagement with the New Testament, in particular his revision of the Vulgate translation, aroused much controversy, especially in the orthodox Roman Catholic country of Spain. Erasmus had to fight fierce polemics with several people, including two Spanish scholars, Diego López Zúñiga and Sancho Carranza de Miranda, who were both connected to the University of Alcalà. This quarrel lasted from 1520 to 1524, with a late response by Erasmus in 1529. The discussion started as a philological one, regarding "correct" Latin, but turned into a dogmatic-theological fight over the issues of whether the New Testament speaks of Christ as God, whether one can apply the term servus (servant) to Christ, and whether the sacramental character of matrimony can be deduced from Ephesians 5:32. The five texts in this volume are, for the first time, translated and annotated. With elucidating notes and an introduction, the volume offers wonderful insight into a fierce and fundamental polemic over the New Testament

Die Diplomarbeit "Karteneinsatz im Unterrichtsgegenstand Geschichte und Sozialkunde/Politische Bildung" setzt sich mit der Didaktisierung von Geschichtskarten aus verschiedenen Epochen der Steiermark für den Unterrichtsgegenstand Geschichte und Sozialkunde/Politische Bildung auseinander. Dazu wurden zu den Themenbereichen "Das Territorium der heutigen Steiermark von 900 bis zur Schlacht auf dem Lechfeld", "das Territorium der heutigen Steiermark unter Otakar IV." sowie "das Territorium der heutigen Steiermark und die Einfälle des Osmanischen Reiches 1480, 1529 sowie 1683" Arbeitsaufgaben für die Sekundarstufe II entwickelt die für den Einsatz in der Schule direkt übernommen werden können. Um ein möglichst breites Spektrum an historischen Quellen in den Arbeitsaufträgen abzudecken, wurden im Rahmen dieser Arbeit neben den Karten auch andere schriftliche und bildliche Quellen zu den einzelnen Themenbereichen recherchiert. Diese Arbeit ist in Kooperation mit dem "Regionalen Fachdidaktikzentrum Geschichte" der Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz und dem "SCHULATLAS STEIERMARK" entstanden. Die Karten werden in Zukunft ebenso wie die hier erarbeiteten Arbeitsaufgaben auf der Homepage des "SCHULATLAS STEIERMARK" - www.schulatlas.at - abrufbar sein. ; This diploma thesis entitled "Karteneinsatz im Unterrichtsgegenstand Geschichte und Sozialkunde/Politische Bildung" discusses the didactisation of history maps on different areas of the Styrian history. In the thesis tasks for the topics "The territory of today?s Styria from 900 to the battle on the Lechfeld", "the territory of today?s Styria under Otakar IV." and "the territory of today?s Styria and the invasion of the Ottoman Empire 1480, 1529 and 1683" were developed. The developed tasks are only suitable for the Austrian Sekundarstufe II because of their complexity. The activities of this thesis can be taken directly for the history lessons without any adaption or further changes. To cover a very broad range of different types of resources in the tasks also written and pictorial resources were researched for the thesis. This diploma thesis was written in cooperation with the "Regionalen Fachdidaktikzentrum Geschichte" located at the Karl-Franzens-University Graz and the "SCHULATLAS STEIERMARK".
