The analysis of the opening of insolvency proceedings under European Union law involves the identification of incidental rules applicable to the insolvency proceedings with an element of foreignness when it concerns the Member States. In order to ensure a comprehensive understanding of cross-border insolvency proceedings, it is necessary to analyze the relevant rules in the field of private international law, when the international character of the insolvency legal relationship is reflected in relation to another third country of the European Union.

Abstract
This article analyses the impact of insolvency proceedings on licence agreements aimed at protecting intellectual property rights from the perspective of Spanish law. The article takes as its starting point the assumption that, if insolvency is declared, any licence agreements entered into by the debtor are subject to the principles and rules regulating insolvency proceedings, such principles and rules justifying exceptional legal solutions that diverge from those resulting from the application of the ordinary principles of contract law.

Die empirische Befragung bezieht sich auf sieben Bundesländer (Bayern, Berlin, Hamburg, Hessen, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Niedersachsen und Nordrhein-Westfalen), deren Justizverwaltungen im Jahr 2018 befragt wurden. Angesichts der Probleme der Vollzugsgestaltung bei als "gefährlich" angesehenen Gefangenen und insbesondere im Bereich des Terrorismus mit der Gefahr der Radikalisierung während eines Vollzugsaufenthalts liegt die besondere Brisanz und Aktualität der Arbeit auf der Hand. Politics against Domination by Ian Shapiro considers important features of a politics of nondomination and argues against the idea that these features are best secured, not by majority rule, but by constitutions, courts, checks and balances, and other republican institutions. This paper examines these arguments but also asks whether majority rule can prevent political domination in the United States where political affiliations are forms of social identity and where social identities play the role they currently play in American public life.

This article analyzes how Moscow has extended its rule over Chechnia since the beginning of this century. Within the larger understanding of this rule as imperial in form, the current distinct contractual relationship between the Russian center and Chechnia is substantiated as one based on kinship. I argue that the Putin-Kadyrov relationship is a generic case of patronage but highlight the local imprint that such relations acquire by tracing how Chechen kinship practices inform this case.

A descriptive norm is a behavioral rule that individuals follow when their empirical expectations of others following the same rule are met. We aim to provide an account of the emergence of descriptive norms by first looking at a simple case, that of the standing ovation. We examine the structure of a standing ovation, and show it can be generalized to describe the emergence of a wide range of descriptive norms.
