Del male e delle guerre

L'esistenza enigmatica del male per un verso coincide con il naturale decomporsi di ogni forma di esistenza; dall'altra è la risultanza del potere che gli esseri umani hanno verso la reciproca distruzione. Se nel primo caso il male è subito, al di fuori così della coppia colpa-punizione, nel secondo caso è frutto di un orienta-mento intenzionale e come tale da una parte è imputabile e dall'altra sarebbe evi-tabile. Uno dei vertici della capacità distruttiva umana è lo scenario della guer-ra. Se la violenza può avere natura reattiva, in sé istintuale, alle guerre tenden-zialmente ci si prepara, mutando così la prospettiva difensiva in una azione aggressiva. Una connotazione terribile della guerra è che essa genera vite perdute per sempre; un danno irrisarcibile e conseguentemente ogni guerra vinta è in sé, per l'umanità, sempre una sconfitta. Solo un impegno gratuito per il bene consen-te di immaginare un'esistenza umana senza guerre.
