Globalization means multiplied interdependences of any kind, hugely shrinking space & time. Globalization is a technico-economic process. At the same time, forms of political globalization can develop: for instance, the United Nations scheme. Then what are the links between economics & politics? As suggested by the last third of XXth century, the big globalization thrusts stem from technico-economic factors, but those factors cannot be separated from the intellectual, spiritual climate of the moment. These factors may reshape politics. But politics remains a specific, an autonomous level. Globalization is not moved by any objective. At any time, it can be broken by the unforeseeable! References.
