Under review are centripetal and centrifugal forces behind this reintegration, the structure, instruments and goals of the Union to be upgraded into a Single Economic Space of the founding states, as well as international implications concerned, including relations with the EU and WTO.

A (future) search conference is a carefully planned, custom‐designed, participative event embedded in a longer process of planning and improvement. Its main focus is to create ideas for future action that is to be implemented by the participants. This paper outlines what a search conference is and, by using recent Australian examples associated with homelessness, community development and Indigenous affairs, how it can be a useful qualitative research tool.

In this paper, the issues concerning the relationship between political marketing and commercial marketing are presented. The main concern of the study is the usage of the commercial economic marketing categories in the political domain. As a result, phenomena coming from the economic field as market; a customer, profit, product brand, or advertising are presented as the elements of the marketing techniques employed in the public game played in the specific market of politics.

We studied 284 volunteers, loosely coupled in groups (i.e. low task interdependence, high outcome interdependence), selling memberships in a non-profit organization. Consistent with economic models of altruism, we found individual perceptions of group potency to be negatively related to individual selling behavior (i.e. making telephone calls and customer visits). Furthermore, individual members' perceptions of group potency were found to interact with two personality traits (conscientiousness and extraversion) to influence individual selling behavior.

The objective of the article is to discuss a framework of central processes in relationship marketing. The framework includes an interaction process as the core, a planned communication process as the marketing communications support through distinct communications media, and a customer value process as the outcome of relationship marketing. If the interaction and planned communication processes are successfully integrated and geared towards customers' value processes, a relationship dialogue may merge.

As their transition to market economies continue, China and the post‐Soviet republics of Central Asia have rediscovered their complementary economic and political interests in increasing trade and investments, especially between Xinjiang Province and independent Uzbekistan, the Kyrgyz Republic, and Kazakhstan. However, a number of obstacles remain, including payments arrangements, customs procedures, and transportation facilities. Prospects for trade in oil and gas, consumer goods, and agricultural materials are bright in the long run, however.

ABSTRACTUnder a continuous improvement framework, the policy of abating inventory via reductions in manufacturing randomness is considered. To explore this policy, a model of a real‐world production‐inventory system is developed, tested, and studied. The results suggest that manufacturing randomness reductions, even substantial ones, may not necessarily lead to inventory abatement, and paradoxically may lead sometimes to an inventory increase. In these cases, however, manufacturing randomness reductions will translate into higher customer service levels.

Since the Customs Union came into effect on 1 January 1996, Turkey has effectively become part of the European Union's single market. This high degree of economic integration has not been matched in the sphere of political and social integration.
