The concept of the factors that influence the behavior of farmers in receiving Operasi Pangan Riau Makmur program (OPRM) needs to be done to determine the most significant effect on the program's accepting. The designing of a model before the implementation of a program, is expected to minimize the unusable things in reality. Modeling analysis SEM (structural equation model) which is used in behavior of farmer's research designed so as to find a suitable model. Three exogenous variables used in this research, the characteristics of farmers, extension of competence, and competence of the management of farmer groups. Each of these exogenous variables formed by eight indicators, so it is could explain that the skills, systematic program delivery, mastery of the program, and time management, are not included in the indicator models that is affecting the behavior of fa rmers as endogenous variables, to accept or deny the existence of the program. Farmer behavior is further analyzed the suitability of the model with the independence of farmers. Suitability models were constructed and analyzed is expected to be used by the government or related agencies, before involving the farmers as participants.

This research aimed to study the needs of members of farmers District East Ungaran Semarang Regency for the development of their farming. This research analyzed descriptively by using the approach of PRA (Participatory Rural Appraisal) approach, with the techniques of thematic mapping, trends and changes, seasonal calendar, daily routine, livelihood analysis and Venn Diagram on dairy farmers.Results from the application of each single technique then was discussed in Focused Group Discussion (FGD) attended by village officers and extension worker. The results of the study can be contained in rank as follows: 1) The activities carried out by members of dairy farmer groups is still traditional. Technologies of seed selection,feed, milking, harvest and post-harvest has not been much progress, yet, 2) Limited knowledge and access to sources of technology, resources, and capital and programs for both private and government 3) Limitation of production facilities and infrastructure, which resulted in small-scale livestock ownership with inadequate productivity, and 4) Limited mastery of market information, both for sale of the products and purchase of the production factors.

After the rise of nationalist movement, the Indonesian Communist Party (PKI) was one of the disciplined organizations in Indonesia. PKI has become the primary example in understanding how organized movements transformed after Indonesia's independence. Ruth McVey's assessment that the PKI as being the most organized organization is not excessive. When the PKI was revamped in the early 1950, it conducted political education through translation and publication work. In various cities they conducted research in order to understand the social contexts to determine the party's political programs. In various cities they did research that had a purpose to understand the social context in order to determine the party's political program, including one of the important areas was Jakarta. Politic contestation in Jakarta was not always interpreted with the struggle for mastery hegemonic discourse. Although in the period of 1950-1965 the discourse struggle was involved the three big powers, nationalists, Islamist and communists. This idea was just organized by chief of these organizations that was located in Jakarta. In addition, Jakarta has major problems in meeting the everyday needs of its population. Thus, the existence of PKI in Jakarta does not always play practical issues, but also advocated populist issues as well.

Readers of Diogo Bernardes's (c.1530-c. 1595) poetry have long praised the brandura (gentleness) of his work. But what brandura meant and how positively this quality was viewed shifted depending on the context of discussion. Brandura was associated with the middle style, mastery of elocutio, and, by extension, with poetry's ability to move those who listened to or read it. Because of this, brandura could, at one moment, provoke moral anxiety, and at another, could signal the height of poetic accomplishment. In quarrels over the relative merits of the different European vernaculars, apologists of the Portuguese language invested in Bernardes's reputation as brando (gentle) as he was said to demonstrate the brandura of their mother tongue. Yet, later in the seventeenth century, Bernardes's fortunes sank. Though Bernardes is currently little esteemed, his association with the multiple meanings of brando and brandura implicated him in a series of important political, moral, and aesthetic disputes throughout the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. Through renewed attention to style and affect in the context of cultural history, the present essay aims to revive interest in his work in the present.

Homa Katouzian's exceptionally perceptive, influential, and wide-ranging scholarship has been marked by three mutually reinforcing characteristics: a profound and detailed mastery of Iran's multi-civilizational heritage; a comparatively informed focus on the country's distinct historical trajectory; and an existentially grounded pluralist perspective in examining and evaluating the country's major political turning points and actors. These features are already fully displayed in his early magnum opus,The Political Economy of Modern Iran(1981), whose historical and political conclusions have been underlined time and again by the subsequent and often shocking national and international turns. In the intervening period, Katouzian has developed the cyclical theory of Iran's history as an "aridosolatic," "pickaxe" or "short-termist" society. Of the important questions that his contributions raise or address, this paper examines the long-term continuity of Twelver/Imami Shi'ism's trajectory which uniquely in the twentieth century Muslim and other worlds produced the leaders of two great revolutions. The result entails the addition of a still unfolding evolutionary-institutional layer within Katouzian's research program which may enhance its explanatory power and reinforce its political vision.

This article combines world-systems, decolonial, eco-feminist and post-human ecological approaches to deconstruct the planetary crisis of the hegemonic civilization. Underpinned by anthropocentric, androcentric, hetero-patriarchal, Euro/Western-centric, modern/colonial and capitalist systems of power, this civilization causes devastating socioecological effects. Globalized through (neo)colonialism/(neo)imperialism, it has subjugated the rural under the urban and the Global South under the North, becoming globally hegemonic. Through the coloniality of power hegemonic conceptions of progress, growth, development and modernity have been spread, procuring the loyalty of semi-peripheral and peripheral regimes into a civilizational obsession with endless accumulation based on the "mastery of nature." Most "postcolonial" elites, especially across "emerging economies," have not broken with this coloniality. They often reproduce govern-mentalities aimed at "catching-up" with, cloning, emulating, imitating or conforming to hegemonic models enacted in the North's metropolitan cores. Overcoming this crisis requires not only a critique of neoliberal capitalist modernity, but a world-systemic transformation towards ecosufficient lifeways based on indigenous, eco-feminist, and post-human alternatives.

<p>This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of psychodrama on psychological well-being and false beliefs of people with drug abuse referred to Persian Gulf residential center in the city of Bushehr. The methodology of this study was experimental with pretest-posttest design and following up with the control group. For the purpose, among the people referring to this center, 30 patients (15 as experimental group and 15 as control group) were randomly selected. Research tools included a psychological well-being questionnaire (1986) and irrational beliefs of Jones (1969). Psychodrama interventional program was presented as a group to the participants of the experimental group during twelve 90-minute sessions. Analysis of data covariance showed that the psychodrama, in the experimental group, has significantly increased psychological well-being of subjects in making positive relations with others, autonomy, self-acceptance, environmental mastery, personal growth and a purposeful life, and reduced irrational beliefs such as emotional irresponsibility, avoiding dealing with the problems, helplessness in the face of change and demand for approval from others.</p>

Despite the rise of eco-critical approaches to Woolf's writing and a thriving debate as to whether her 1931 novel perpetuates or challenges colonialist axiomatics, The Waves has not inspired an extended, focused investigation of its articulation of aqueous nature and the latter's reshaping under imperial maritime power. This essay examines how a critique of maritime modernity emerges from The Waves' modernist orchestration of the seas. I contend that the work sets a conventional representation of the waters as facilitators of national and imperial progress against a counter-articulation that formally challenges it. The novel thus allows us to place it in the context of inscriptions of the seas by techno-sciences and international law during high imperialism and re-organizations of the seas as the empire contracts. Viewed in relation to the maritime recoding of the planet's hydrosphere, and the perceptual modes, narratives, and ethos of mastery it engenders, The Waves elucidates an alternative vision to a life-world made uneven by this recoding. Concentrating on waters, I conclude, allows us to glean a textured view of an understudied but persistent feature in Woolf's fiction.

Abstract
As part of the Journal of Fandom Studies exploration of the field more than 20 years after the publication of Henry Jenkins' Textual Poachers (which has been widely cited as one of the first major works paving the way for this area of study), this piece looks back at Textual Poachers' approach to studying fandom, examines the dialogue that has taken place within fan studies over the past six years, and raises areas of consideration for fan studies to consider in the years ahead. In particular, the piece advocates for the need to continue to evolve the types of fandoms explored by fan studies scholars; to challenge ourselves to examine the field's tendency to prioritize some forms of active audience engagement over others based on the media format or level of technical mastery the audience uses or the type of media text on which the engagement is focused; and to further explore what more widespread interest in, acceptance of, and adoption of the model of engagement from fandom means for our field.

Often lost in recollections of World War II is the eight-year conflict fought between Japan and China. The war claimed 14 million Chinese lives and, for a time, China was nearly cut off from contact with the outside world. But Charles E. Stuart, a dentist in the sleepy California beach town of Ventura who was passionate about amateur radio and a staunch defender of the nationalist Kuomintang party that controlled China was able to broadcast its message to the outside world. Working from a bunker carved deep into the rocks beneath the wartime Chinese capital of Chongqing, a cadre of young freelance journalists and Chinese information ministry employees operated a shortwave station known as XGOY to broadcast free China's news and information. Despite the fact that the station was constantly bombarded and Japanese forces jammed its signal, Doc Stuart's mastery of shortwave radio was able to capture and record XGOY's transmissions, while Stuart's wife, Alacia Held, tirelessly transcribed their contents for delivery to Chinese officials and news organizations in the United States. Without Doc Stuart, free China may have been completely cut off from the outside world.

In response to the call by government leaders to increase the number of US citizens completing college degrees, many foundations, non-profits, and institutions are promoting new initiatives to ensure that the increased productivity of colleges and universities is linked to quality. One of the most innovative and promising initiatives in this regard is Tuning. This report explains how tuning is a faculty-driven process intended to articulate what a student should know and be able to do in a given discipline at the point of degree completion. The process involves consultation with various higher education stakeholders in creating a framework that establishes clear learning expectations for students at each degree level. A key goal of Tuning is to improve the alignment of students mastery of agreed-upon learning objectives for specific degrees and the relevance of said learning objectives to the workplacethat is, how outcomes match entrance needs in the field. ; Midwestern Higher Education Compact Cross-State Tuning Initiative
