Abstract

The implosion of 2006-2010 causes a singular debate that tends to exclude every philosophical and historical perspective; it calls for experts and experts only, rendering the discussion purely operational and pragmatic. In a philosophical essay the author states that the temptations of new style nihilism that is post-modern and based on performance (nothing is bad, try everything) haunt the emerging countries as well as the 'old' powers, overshadowing their financial adventuring as well as their socio-political wandering.
