Abstract

Civil society contributed to the fact that the climate conference in Copenhagen turned into a media circus. For years, & without demonstrations, NGO's have had access to international climate negotiations. Using Chile as example, the article shows how NGO's through professional lobbying strengthen their position in political processes. They find themselves in an area of tension between cooperation & exploitation by political decision makers. E. Sanchez
