Abstract
The political critique of modernity appears to have gained momentum in Europe in recent years. However, as with so many trends, it is a rather diverse movement, encompassing populist nationalist and national-conservative parties in Western Europe, a fascistoid Christian-nationalist revival, and a number of trends that are directly incompatible with liberal democracy. Here, Eriksen talks about a variation of the same culture-borne ideology is Europe. Adapted from the source document.
