The Role of Public International Law in the WTO: How Far Can We Go? - WTO dispute settlement panels must decide matters in accordance with the applicable law in the context of general norms of international law and jurisdiction. The author argues that although the panels'jutisdiction is limited to WTO claims, the applicable law may include any rule of international law, which may, depending on the relevant conflict rule, even prevail over the WTO treaty
