Abstract

Circumcision is a tradition that has been viewed with great importance by some African communities. With the coming of the missionaries, this practice has been met with many challenges and resistance. The author of this booklet reexamines the tradition and changes in church opinion as concerns circumcision with emphasis on female circumcision (clitoridectomy). He also focuses on the Biblical perspective concerning circumcision. (DÜI-Hff)
