Annual Variation in the Clutch and Egg Sizes of Silver Gulls, Larus novaehollandiae

Abstract

In two seasons following lower than average annual rainfall, silver gulls laid smaller clutches, their
eggs were smaller and the sequential decrease in egg volume within a clutch was more pronounced
than in a year preceded by heavier rainfall.
