Abstract

This Lake George Islands Pamphlet was created by John S. Apperson Jr. and distributed to New York State legislators in 1917. Apperson wanted to show them the damage that had been done to the islands and to encourage them to vote for an appropriations bill for riprap work on Lake George. It contains numerous captioned pictures and letters about the islands of Lake George. Apperson's campaign was successful and the appropriation was approved.
