Abstract

This master thesis explores the field of research of "natural" disasters in human and social sciences. It begins by outlining the main lines of studies on "natural" risks and disasters in geography, history, sociology and political science. Then he looks at the study of "natural" catastrophes in anthropology, where he presents the contributions of the discipline in the analysis and understanding of disasters. ; Ce mémoire bibliographique explore le champ de recherche des catastrophes « naturelles » en sciences humaines et sociales. Il retrace d'abord, les grandes lignes des études sur les risques et catastrophes « naturels » en géographie, histoire, sociologie et sciences politiques. Puis il se penche, sur l'étude des catastrophes « naturelles » en anthropologie, où il présente les apports de la discipline dans l'analyse et la compréhension de ces dernières.
