In the era of upheavals in the first half of the XIX century, the population of the Russian Empire, primarily representatives of the educated class, continued to lead their usual and measured way of life. One of these familiar aspects was visiting European countries outside the context of hostilities. The perception of "foreign" territories by representatives of the Russian society, their incorporation into the usual tourist, educational, etc. routes is the most important aspect of the formation of the way of thinking of a subject of the Russian Empire of the 19th century, who perceived their country as part of Europe. In this regard, the main task is to show how familiar to Russians the town of Lubeck was becoming an important part for the free movement of Russian travelers, a place for their adaptation in Europe. This process is clearly visible in personal documents of the first half of the 19th century – some fears, novelty of perception, the feeling of initially being in someone else's territory, and then getting used to it. Analysis of these sources as a single block allows us to say that despite varying degrees of education, travel experience and belonging to different social strata, Lubeck appears in these documents as a place perceived by those who come to it as Europe as a whole.

Locally led adaptation is increasingly promoted as an important strategy for addressing the impacts of climate change. However, the understanding of rural realities in the Global South is still limited by insufficient information about the complex and dynamic relationships between rural communities and their environment. These relationships are influenced both by the material aspects of place and by the social and cultural dynamics that shape identities. This paper seeks to address this gap by providing an in-depth examination of how older and younger people are living with environmental change in two rural areas in Vietnam. Recognizing the lack of attention given to older people as important environmental actors, this paper will make three key contributions: move from a focus on the vulnerability of older people to one which highlights their capabilities; introduce an intergenerational approach that builds an inclusive understanding of rural communities; and embrace a complex appreciation of environmental change that looks beyond the usual framings of climate change and impact upon livelihoods' to other aspects of people's relationship with a changing environment. In doing so, this paper calls for an increased appreciation for the multiple values of nature, particularly how different community members engage with and appreciate their environment, to support more relevant and sustainable approaches to addressing local environmental challenges.

This study aims to reveal the impact of coal mining companies on people's lives in Tanjung Raman Village, Taba Penanjung District, Central Bengkulu Regency, Bengkulu Province. The problems of this research focus on four main aspects of people's lives affected by coal mining, namely the physical environment, socio-economic community, public health, and social psychological community. This study uses a qualitative approach about four main aspects of people's lives affected by coal mining. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of the study show that there have been four impacts of coal mining companies on people's lives. This has an impact on the majority of residents using dug wells to meet their daily water needs; the occurrence of changes in employment opportunities, namely working as coal extraction in the Kemumu River and changes in work patterns from farming to coal collectors in the river; public health also declines such as the emergence of skin diseases; as well as the accumulation of community disillusionment that has been buried for a long time, which can lead to acts of violence. The results of this study conclude that there are four impacts of the company on people's lives which include the impact of the physical environment, socio-economic, public health and socio-psychological conditions of the community.

Suhrawardi is a renowned philosopher famous for his thoughts on the philosophy of Illumination. His thoughts are contained in his mangnum opus, The Wisdom of Al-Isryq (Hikmat Al-Isryq). This study aims to reveal the prominent aspect of various political dimensions in his work, whose primordial focus was on the aspects of the political system and the concept of power. The political system and the concept of power were then characterized as a political philosophy of Illumination. For this reason, this study not only uses a qualitative method with factual historical study techniques regarding figures but also uses an analytical approach to the theory of sociology of knowledge by Peter L. Berger and Thomas Lucmann and the theory of socio-political philosophy of al-Farabi's emanation. The sociology of knowledge is used to analyze the social dimensions involved in the formation of Suhrawardi's thoughts. Meanwhile, the socio-political philosophy of emanation is used to characterize the system and the concept of political power contained in the Wisdom of al-Isryq. The study concludes that the political system contained in the Illumination philosophy is divine, theocratic, and based on the concept of power in the form of self-control. Loneliness is associated with negative mental health outcomes and is particularly common among adolescents. Yet, little is known about the dynamics of adolescent loneliness in non-Western, low-income nations. Accordingly, we estimated the severity of loneliness in a sample of Kenyan adolescents and used mixed-effects regression modelling to determine the socio-cultural factors associated with loneliness. We also used network analysis to examine the associations between loneliness, depression, and anxiety at the symptom level. We analyzed data from a large sample (N = 2,192) of school-attending Kenyan adolescents aged 12–19 (58.3% female, 41.7% male). Standardized measures of loneliness (ULS-8), depression (PHQ-8), and anxiety (GAD-7) were used. Our mixed-effects model revealed that female and lower-income adolescents felt lonelier. The perception of feeling alone emerged as the aspect of loneliness most strongly linked to depression and anxiety symptoms. Our findings establish an estimate of loneliness levels in Kenyan adolescents, and identify possible socio-cultural factors associated with loneliness. We found that perceptions of isolation more strongly linked loneliness to psychopathology than did objective measures of isolation or preferences for social contact. Finally, we identify specific aspects of loneliness that could prove to be treatment targets for youth psychopathology; however, further research is needed. Limitations, future directions, and clinical implications are discussed.

To limit the spreading of the virus, many countries, including Italy, introduced social distancing measures and limited human movement. The Italian government declared a lockdown of the whole country lasting about two months, and the introduced restrictive rules heavily impacted patients with chronic neurological diseases because of the reduced access to healthcare and community support services. In Parkinson's disease, studies confirmed lockdown restrictions increase levels of psychological distress, impose limitations on physical activities, and cause a lack of clinical assistance. This study aims at investigating the impact of the pandemic during and beyond the lockdown period in such patients using an online survey. A total of 387 total patients accessed the survey and were asked about their personal experiences during and after lockdown. The results show a significant impact on people's lives even months after lockdown restrictions were lifted, with a substantial and durable worsening in different aspects of daily life, heavily influenced by impaired access to health services—particularly physical therapies, including personal physical activity—and readily available clinical counselling, with an overall observation of worsening symptoms control. These aspects should be carefully considered in the assessment of global health care strategies to overcome the current pandemic and its broader effects.

This study aimed to describe and explain the implementation of the Family Planning Village in Langnga Village, Mattiro Sompe District, Pinrang Regency. The research used a qualitative descriptive method by conducting data collection techniques through observation and interviews. The results of this study showed that the standard and target aspects of the implementation of the KB village policy were quite good. This seen from the existence of the SOP in the form of a technical manual for the KB Village and the implementor's understanding of the standards and objectives of the policy itself. Communication aspects between organizations, communication to the community regarding the implementation had been running effectively, especially in terms of socialization, the characteristics of the executing agent, the bureaucratic structure of the division and authority and the character of the KB Village officers in its implementation was quite clear and good, it seen from bureaucratic structure and its officers the characteristics of a good policy implementing agent. and the Social, Political and Economic Environment, the response of the community and all parties in the implementation of the KB Village could run well and maximally. Plastic is a part of human life. Plastic packaging dominates the packaging market share in the world, replacing cans and glass packaging. Plastic is used because it is an inexpensive material, not easily weathered, lightweight, and anti-rust. Human activities cannot be separated from the use of plastics, but the increasing use of plastic results in increased pollution of land and even oceans. This also certainly affects the world's ecosystem. Because of the dangers of plastic for the environment, the government has begun to aggressively create programs and policies aimed at educating the public about the impact of plastic consumption and its dangers on the environment. It also aims to change people's culture of using single-use plastics. Not only the government, but at the university policy level it is also necessary to make policies regarding the restrictions on the use of single-use plastics. This study uses an empirical juridical research method that uses a juridical approach by analyzing primary data in the form of interviews and secondary data derived from primary legal materials. The purpose of this study was to determine the policy of reducing single-use plastic waste in the Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University environment. Climate change adaptation in the Arctic is a powerful notion based on a
challenging and impermanent reality of continuous complex interactions
between the natural and social structures. The geophysical and geopolitical
aspects of the Arctic system and the global context are naturally
interlinked, and the human aspects of societal existence are even more
integrated resulting in a range of collective opportunities, risks, and
responsibilities as a civilization, as Arctic citizens, and as global
citizens. Our analysis indicated that there are at least three key factors
that stand in the way of the implementation of the Arctic climate agenda: 1)
unresolved territorial and other disputes among Arctic coastal states, 2)
the intensive (re)militarisation of the region (with Russia as a central
player), and 3) noticeable economic dynamism, accompanied by strategic
competition between key stakeholders - including non-Arctic states, such as
China. The priorities for the region are still set by old-fashioned,
mechanistic, political agendas, combined with unsustainable natural
resources management strategies. Overall, our research indicates that the
threat of climate change is not enough to mobilise the Artic nations under a
sense of regional citizenship or to raise awareness on the need for a
coordinated and inclusive climate change adaptation policy, based on Arctic
cooperation.

This article explores Swedish teachers and school leaders Facebook rebellion groups as a medium where professional needs and actions can be formulated. Data consist of interviews with administrators representing the rebellion groups. Based on a theoretical perspective of teacher agency we searched for experiences and visions related to contextual aspects expressed in the groups. The results indicate a common experience of lacking resources among the groups. Through a well-balanced agency, they search for support among politicians in their striving to improve working conditions. However, the groups might develop different conditions for participating due to the formation of group-specific conversational climate about what is desirable and possible to post and discuss. Discussions on work-related issues might certainly be affected and the rebellion groups might contribute to preserve the specificity of each level in the school system. A split in the teachers rebellion group indicates virtual relationships between professionals are easy to give up in favour of new formations, making the virtual groups vulnerable. The results raise the question about changing cultural aspects and what it means to be a professional teacher/school leader. The political ecological study of environmental issues is often concerned with the interactions of diverse actors, leading to accounts of different, conflicting worldviews. While different epistemological and ontological standpoints are covered, there is consensus that environmental issues are simultaneously social and material, and that worldviews differ. In this article, I argue Michael Thompson's rubbish theory can be usefully employed to compare and contrast environmental perspectives ultimately rooted in conflicting epistemological and ontological understandings of a situation. Rubbish theory describes the categorization of objects into durables, transients and rubbish, and movements between these categories.Rubbish theory focuses on how objects are restricted in their movement and how this reflects the distribution of power and status in society. Two aspects of a society may then be assessed: 1) its value system, and 2) the extent to which different groups may alter that value system. Dynamic changes in these two aspects are then traceable. As an example of extant environmental conflicts rooted in different worldviews, this article focuses on historic and contemporary issues around the consumption of whale meat. Focusing upon whaling and whale-watching, I argue that historic and contemporary conflicts manifest different orderings and that these comprise different epistemological standpoints, which as value systems are comparable within rubbish theory.

The pandemic induced lockdown has affected the tribal livelihoods, nutritional disparities, malnutrition were some of the inevitable aspects observed during the pandemic. The commentary tries to depict the plights and predicaments of tribal communities during the lockdown, how they suffer from nutritional deficiencies and surmounted to hunger and poverty. The paper highlights the lockdown in Koraput Odisha India which has led to deterioration of the lives of the tribals and somehow pushed them to starvation. There have been both primary data collection through opinions of people who were available during these times and some secondary data collection through newspaper and web-articles was done. The tribal communities' livelihood was affected during the lockdown, they have been encountering food problem and there was high scarcity of nutrition as lockdown led to shut down of shops but ultimately they had tries certain empowerment paradigms like plantation at home to substitute the nutritional discrepancies. The article explores the livelihoods of these indigenous communities and the need for empowerment, devising proactive policies for high implementation programmes and prevents them from nutritional deficiencies and brings about better social wellbeing and health conditions. As food is an important element in everyone's lives the indigenous communities' right to food and the growing concerns to bridge the gap should be an important aspect for future research.

Media criticism is an area of modern journalism that provides critical cognition and assessment of socially significant, relevant aspects of information production in the media. Media criticism studies and evaluates the mobile complex of the diverse relationships of the print and electronic press with the media audience and society as a whole, contributes to the introduction of social and professional adjustments to the activities of the print and electronic press. Modern media criticism covers not only aspects of the functioning of the print and electronic press related to journalism, the activities of journalistic groups and editorial policies, but also invades a wide range of problems, the formulation of which involves the study and evaluation of media content, the relationship of the media and their audience, the media and society as a whole. Today in the space of the Internet the most effective mass criticism of the media. Authors of media criticism blogs set as their main task the recording and analysis of materials that do not meet accepted journalistic standards and have poor quality and ethically dubious content. Media criticism blogs in new media are becoming a platform for discussion, where the problems of the influence of the media on society and the role of the media in this society are discussed.

Along with the increasing population and lifestyle of people drinking coffee, coffee shops increased significantly. This not only impacts socially and economically but also impacts the environment. Sustainability demands coffee shops to manage environmental problems that arise from business activities. This article aims to examine the environmental aspects (energy, water, waste) and spatial aspects of coffee shops in Malang city. The methodology of this research was focused on data acquisition related to tabular and geospatial information provided online through social media, news websites, and online food order applications. Descriptive quantitative and spatial approaches were made in this research. The results showed that most coffee shops in Malang city-operated daily for 7-12 hours, provided food and beverages, and used a combination of glass/porcelain and disposable materials as the packaging. These could trigger problems related to high energy and water consumption and waste generalization. Meanwhile, several coffee shops began to initiate the green action by using steel straw, reusing cups, and reducing plastic. As located mainly in the city center and densely populated area, the local government should pay more attention to this area regarding environmental management and urban planning. Hopefully, the emergence of coffee shops can contribute positively socially and economically without exacerbating the urban environmental problems.
