We will study political and military events of the early seventh century, the persian occupation of the land of Israel and Egypt that led to the writing, by jews and christians, to a series of apocalyptic texts whose circulation led to the development of a new instance of the controversy Adversus Judaeos.

This paper examines the concept of symbiosis in Islamic history as developed by Schlomo Dov Goitein, the 20th-century Jewish German scholar in the area of Jewish and Arabic studies, and discusses its application to the identity sourcing of Prophet Muhammad in particular. The aim of the study is to review the historical outline briefly on the background and formation of "symbiosis" preceding and in the aftermath of Goitein's conceptualization and context, following a qualitative research approach with an intertextual criticism to his references and discussing their possible philological aspects in his mindset. The study found that, while the Islamic historical sources presented the relations between Jews and Muslims in the Madina period of Islam as negative, in Goitein's works, the Jewish perception of early Islamic history is positively grounded on a mid-eight century Jewish messianic-apocalyptical text, namely, The Secrets of Rabbi Simon ben Yohai as traditionally understood in Judaism for describing Ishmaelites as the savior of Jews from Christian oppression. This finding seems to be in explicit contradistinction to the concept of innovative "creative symbiosis" with subversion of historical experience.
The existence of a political authority is such a customary part of our daily lives that often we are able to ignore and even forget it. However, only when we imagine its absence from our lives via post-apocalyptic fiction, we realize the importance of a democratically chosen and built governance over what would have been an authoritarian rule. Similarly, Ling Ma's first novel Severance with the eerie similarity of its events to the Coronavirus pandemic, is one of those works that shows us the unadulterated social and political chaos emerging from the lack of a central government or authority, through the story of nine survivors of a globally destructive disease. Moreover, since the emergence of an authoritarian rule during times of crisis is one of the key elements found in Severance, this paper aims to examine and analyze the ways in which the power of the leader turns into an authoritarian control during a global pandemic that resulted in the annihilation of almost all humanity.

; Once the Argentinian State conquered Patagonia, it was not long before there emerged an anti-centralist discourse born out of the plight that were suffering the inhabitants of these Southern territories to whom, moreover, full citizenship was denied. With regard to the dominant center located in the harbor-city of Buenos Aires, Patagonia came to see itself as an isolated enclave, like an internal colony, continuously exploited and eternally left behind. This wasthe context for the rise ofsome narrativesthat aimed both at criticizing and overcoming Buenos Aires's dominant power. On the one hand, the dream of secession (a utopian way out with libertarian content), meticulously expressed in Salvador San Martín's story "When Patagonia was lost for Argentina", published in 1984. On the other hand, the idea that the development of the gas and oil industries, connected to an unregulated capitalist world market, would end up devastating and breaking apart this territory, in a kind of apocalyptic nightmare (the dystopic way out), marked by the depletion of natural resources and the extinction of regional identities, as it is presented in the technocratic anticipation written by Ramón Martínez Guarino.
The theme Dystopia began as a response to Utopian theory, which isrelated to perfect communities. A dystopia is an imaginary community or society that is dehumanized and is therefore terrifying with people who are forced to battle for survivalin a ruined environment with technological control and oppression by the governing authority. Dystopian novels or films can challenge readers to think differently about the current social and political contexts, and can even promptpositive actions for the future of human beings. Recently, not only America and Europe but also South Korea has witnessed the increasing release of a range ofdystopian or post-apocalyptic films and novels. These creations reflect the harsh reality of our modern life in which human beings have to confront disasters, pandemics and problems of the modern industrialized society. Though usually set in a future scene, the dystopian theme can function as an open gate, an objection from the present, or as the "archaeology of the Future". The success of South Korean literature and film on this topic claims the strong rise of SouthKorean wave in the world's pop culture. It also shows that sci-fi works with dystopian theme can be seen as an anti-social discourse as well as their possibility of merging with the mainstream works.
