Abstract
Occupational biomonitoring studies performed under European Human Biomonitoring Initiative (HBM4EU) and Partnership for the Assessment of Risks from Chemicals (PARC) are intended to support European circular economy strategies and identify challenges related to occupational health and safety. Workers involved in the e-waste recycling are potentially exposed to a wide variety of toxic chemicals. In this context, apart from the more classical industrial hygiene (dust fraction, wipes) and biomonitoring (urine and blood) matrices, alternative matrices like silicon wristbands, SWB; floor settled dust, FSD (for industrial hygiene measurement); and hair (for biomonitoring) were explored. The results obtained for the alternative environmental and biological matrices could distinguish the different groups of workers. For instance, in E-Waste survey higher levels of metals were obtained in the hair samples from battery worker (Cd: 0.10 – 3.10 µg/g; Cr: 2.85 - 141 µg/g; Pb: 0.69 – 751 µg/g) vs controls (Cd: 0.10 – 0.12 µg/g; Cr: 3.33 - 21.6 µg/g; Pb: 0.38 – 4.79 µg/g). Hair levels were further correlated with the settled dust metals levels. Moreover, positive correlation between FSD levels and urinary metabolite concentration was found for all phthalates, with the strongest correlation for DEHP (RSperman 0.689, p<0.05). In addition, a strong and positive correlation was observed between FSD and SWB results for PBDE and PCB supporting the use of these two types of hygiene sampling approaches for reliable external exposure assessment and characterization. Overall, alternative matrices are giving access to an extended window of exposure reflecting longer periods of exposure, which are not captured by classical matrices.

Abstract
Indoor air quality is particularly important for children since they spend more than 90% of their time inside. If outdoor levels of hazardous hydrocarbons are principally traffic related, indoor levels also depend on a variety of sources such as heating and cooking systems, stored products and human behavior (e.g. smoking, cleaning). In this context, within the ENVIRONAGE cohort, was investigated the relationship between SPMA urinary concentration in 214 children (4 to 6-year-old), and indoor sources of air pollution like heating and cooking methods (gas based vs electric) and traffic related air pollution (focusing on NO2 and black carbon). The SPMA urinary concentration was determined developing a high-sensitive UPLC-MS/MS method (LOQ: 0.05 ng/mL). Parents of the children were asked, throughout questionnaire, information about sources of indoor air pollution, such as wood-burning stove, fireplace and gas-based methods of heating or as energy source for the cooking stove and their frequency of using. Interpolation techniques was used to model the regional background levels of NO2 and black carbon for each child's residential address. The use of gas based cooking methods in the residential home of the child was associated with a 74% increase in the mean SPMA concentration of the child (95% Cl: 1.07 to 2.83), correcting for sex, age, BMI, waist circumference, passive smoking, education level of the parents, and time of the day. Consequently, this finding indicates that urinary SPMA can be used as biomarker for looking at indoor determinants of hazard hydrocarbons exposure.

Abstract
The territory of Muanda, on the Atlantic coastline of the DR Congo, is an area of off-shore and on-shore oil extraction. Following concerns of the local population about the possible environmental and health consequences of these activities, a pilot study was performed in December 2015 to assess, among other issues, the exposure of residents of various relevant locations to oil-derived chemicals. We measured metabolites of benzene (t,t-Muconic Acid, MA, and S-Phenylmercapturic acid, S-PMA) by LC-MS and 8-hydroxy-2'-deoxyguanosine (8-OHdG, as an indicator of DNA damage) by ELISA, in urine spot samples of 53 volunteers (34 adults, 19 children, recruited by convenience sampling) living within areas of oil extraction with flaring (n=27), in an area where petroleum products were handled (n=14), and in a control area in the Mangroves National Park (n=12). Concentrations of both MA and S-PMA were increased among residents of the oil extraction areas (0.23±0.05 mg/L, 1.04±0.30 µg/L, respectively) and petroleum products area (0.32±0.08 mg/L, 1.74±0.63 µg/L, respectively) compared with controls (0.06±0.01 mg/L, 0.40±0.13 µg/L, respectively). Concentrations of of MA and S-PMA correlated with levels of 8-OHdG (RSpearman = 0.37, p<0.01). Our biomonitoring study revealed a low degree of benzene exposure among residents living in the oil extraction and petroleum handling areas compared to a control area. Although the levels of benzene metabolites were low, the positive correlation with 8-OHdG possibly indicates that pollution by hydrocarbons induced oxidative damage in this study population.

Il tema oggetto della presente tesi di dottorato è la tutela giudiziale delle posizioni giuridiche soggettive del contribuente sottoposto ad illegittimo esercizio dei poteri istruttori da parte dell'Amministrazione finanziaria. L'analisi, che inizia dall'individuazione dei principi regolatori la disciplina della fase istruttoria tributaria – nello specifico, l'attenzione viene posta sulla differenza che contraddistingue il procedimento istruttorio tributario dal procedimento amministrativo lato sensu inteso, con le conseguenze che ne derivano – prova a restituire "dignità" all'attività istruttoria, quale fase autonoma funzionalmente collegata alla successiva (e solo eventuale) fase accertativa. In questa prospettiva, sono state studiate le situazioni giuridiche riferibili al contribuente sottoposto a verifica fiscale. Ci si è chiesti, in primis, come il Legislatore operi il bilanciamento tra valori costituzionali differenti: da una parte, l'interesse fiscale dello Stato comunità di cui all'art. 53 Cost. alla verifica del corretto comportamento fiscale del contribuente al concorso alle spese pubbliche e, dall'altra parte, l'interesse del contribuente a che tale controllo venga effettuato nel rispetto delle libertà fondamentali e dei diritti della personalità, costituzionalmente tutelati. Tale riflessione ha portato ad affermare che i diritti del singolo (nella duplice veste di diritti patrimoniali e libertà fondamentali) non possono essere derogati in relazione all'attività conoscitiva, se non per un interesse pubblico di particolare rilevanza ed ove sussistano determinati presupposti; di qui, l'analisi della riserva di legge, delle garanzie costituzionali e delle autorizzazioni preventive (amministrative e giudiziali), quali forme di tutela poste a garanzia dei diritti del contribuente. Inquadrata in questi termini la questione, l'attenzione si è spostata sui due temi portanti la struttura dell'elaborato: l'individuazione delle situazioni giuridiche soggettive del contribuente coinvolto nell'esercizio dei poteri istruttori tributari – l'identificazione delle quali ha poi permesso di stabilire quali siano le possibili forme di tutela giudiziale – ed i riflessi che il riconoscimento dell'autonomia funzionale del procedimento istruttorio produce sul successivo e solo eventuale momento impositivo. Da una lettura critica delle posizioni dottrinali, oggi dominati, si ritiene preferibile ragionare in questi termini: il provvedimento emesso dall'Autorità competente che dà avvio all'attività ispettiva incide non soltanto sulla sfera patrimoniale del contribuente ma anche sulla sfera dei diritti fondamentali di quest'ultimo, i quali, però, nonostante l'esercizio di un potere autoritativo da parte dell'Amministrazione finanziaria (da alcuni ritenuto discrezionale), non degradano mai a meri interessi legittimi. Il coinvolgimento di (soli) diritti soggettivi fondamentali nell'ambito di un procedimento istruttorio autonomo comporta la necessità di tutelare in via diretta ed immediata tali posizioni contro l'illegittimo e/o illecito esercizio dei poteri conoscitivi e di controllo dell'Amministrazione finanziaria alla luce delle garanzie costituzionali (artt. 24 e 113) riguardanti i rapporti tra l'attività della Pubblica Amministrazione ed il privato. In controtendenza rispetto all'orientamento dottrinale attualmente maggioritario, ma coerentemente con l'indirizzo adottato dalla più recente giurisprudenza di legittimità, si ritiene che, i diritti lesi nel procedimento ispettivo (benché differenti rispetto a quelli coinvolti nel procedimento d'imposizione) debbano trovare anch'essi, nel rispetto di quanto prescritto all'art. 2 D.Lgs. n. 546 del 1992 e della pienezza ed esclusività della giurisdizione tributaria, nelle Commissioni tributarie la sede naturale e "giusta" per la loro tutela. Non si condivide, pertanto, l'opinione di quanti rinvengono la sede per la tutela delle illegittimità istruttorie dinnanzi ad altra giurisdizione e, nella specie, quella amministrativa salvo il ricorso in via cautelare (come ammesso anche dalla più recente giurisprudenza delle Sezioni Unite della Corte di cassazione) al giudice ordinario.

Jusqu'à présent, la plupart des études qui ont porté sur l'analyse de l'Eneasroman et de sa source anonyme française se sont intéressées principalement aux différences touchant la structure des deux textes ainsi qu'à la place et au traitement de l'amour, aux transformations relatives aux personnages de Didon et Lavinie, aux aspects narratologiques des deux œuvres, à la relation entre amour et souveraineté, ou encore à la réception et l'adaptation d'éléments antiques – notamment mythologiques et païens – dans un roman médiéval. Ainsi, lorsque l'exercice du pouvoir a fait l'objet d'une analyse, celle-ci portait essentiellement sur la relation entre pouvoir et amour. À notre connaissance aucune étude comparatiste approfondie n'a été consacrée à la dimension politique et idéologique des deux romans. Cet article se propose donc d'ouvrir une brèche dans cette direction encore trop négligée par la recherche et s'articulera autour de quatre points. Le premier s'intéressera au traitement du personnage central, une deuxième partie sera consacrée à son fils Ascanius, tandis que la troisième partie portera sur les transformations subies par les personnages de Latinus et de sa femme. La quatrième partie tentera, quant à elle, de répondre à la question suivante : pour qui Heinrich a-t-il composé ce Miroir des princes ?

This article is following the evolution of the understanding of the concept of "property" in the Catholic Church's social doctrine, during a period of 120 years, starting with the pontificate of Leo XIII and ending with the one of Pope Benedict XVI. Being about the various understandings related to the concept of "property" in the Church's social doctrine, only the official discourse of the popes will be followed (magisterium) together with the input brought by the Second Vatican Council in interpreting and defining the concept.
