The 2006 Colloquium of the Review Policy and Public Management took place at the Institute for Political Studies in Lille on 16 and 17 March. Despite the somewhat difficult context due to the anti-EPC movement, these two days were, in general, an excellent opportunity to take stock of a topic that was particularly debated among those, observers or practitioners, who were interested in modernising the administration. When the colloquium was being prepared, it became clear that the subject of the barbaric neologism of 'client-centrism' prompted the discussion: on the contrary, the concept of customer symbolised the risks of weakening a certain idea of the public service (.).
