Abstract

The relevance of the problem of social services for the elderly lies in the fact that the population of developed countries is steadily aging, and the change in social status in old age, associated primarily with the restriction or termination of labor activity, revision of values and attitudes, changes in lifestyle and communication, causes certain difficulties. in social, domestic and psychological adaptation to new living conditions, which makes older people the most socially vulnerable category of the population and, in this regard, requires the development of special approaches, methods and forms of social work with older people.
