Abstract

Introduction. The article is devoted to the study of social protection of unemployed participants of the ATO/OOS in the context of the State Employment Service of Ukraine. The achievement of this goal was achieved by performing the following tasks: research of the categories «social protection», «social protection of the unemployed», «social protection of unemployed members of the ATO/OOS»; study and assessment of legislative regulation of social protection of unemployed participants of the ATO/OOS; identification of the main problems of employment of ATO/OOS participants.Purpose. There is a study of the state of social protection of unemployed members of the ATO/OOS in the field of employment in Ukraine and the definition of priorities of state influence on the progressive development of this area. The achievement of this goal was achieved by performing the following tasks: research of the category «social protection of unemployed participants of the ATO/OOS» in the field of employment; identification of the main obstacles to the reintegration of ATO/OOS participants, in particular the difficulties of their employment; development of proposals to improve the system of social protection of unemployed members of the ATO/OOS in the context of the State Employment Service.Results. Social protection is, on the one hand, a functional system, a system of directions in which it is carried out, and, on the other - institutional, a system of institutions that provide it (the state, trade unions and other public organizations). The system of social protection of combatants today remains insufficiently regulated. Issues of social protection of combatants are regulated by the Law of Ukraine "On the Status of War Veterans and Guarantees of Their Social Protection", aimed at protecting combatants by: establishing the legal status of combatants; providing appropriate conditions for maintaining good health; providing benefits, advantages and social guarantees; formation of a respectful attitude to them in society.
