SummaryIn this article, we analyse the phenomenon of responsibility and its understanding among young people from Visegrad countries (Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary). Using the AGA research method, 400 students of the last stages of economic faculties in capital and local universities were examined. The results indicate a personal rather than a social dimension of responsibility. We also found some patterns to depend on the country. Young Poles' responsibility is more related to the subjective dimension, Hungarians' to social, Czechs' to affective, and Slovaks' to moral one.Key words: responsibility, young people, social capital.

The presented article analyses the concepts of a resource and social representations. The description of the structural approach chosen as a model for conducting empirical research is given. In this study, to obtain the characteristics of the concept under study, we used the task of writing as many adjectives as possible that most accurately characterise the concept of RESOURCE. To describe the core and periphery of adults' ideas about resources, we used elements of the prototypical analysis after Pierre Vergès. Taking into account the intersection of two indicators – the average value of the rank of occurrence, as well as the median of the frequency of occurrence of the concept, – it became possible to analyse the structure of the presentation. The study sample consisted of 124 adults. As a result of the study, we can say that the structure of the social concept of the resource is heterogeneous. In the ordinary sense, a resource is associated with material goods, this concept turned out to be most often associated with the concept of a resource. The characteristics of the resource are more stable in terms of the functional purpose and capabilities of the potential used. The characteristics that illustrate the importance of the resource for the individual demonstrate less stability. As a result of the study of social ideas about the concept of a resource, it is considered as a variable phenomenon with a branched typology, characterised by its usefulness and significance for the subject.

The social-philosophical research of a phenomenon of urban memory is presented in the article. The basic is the memory concept. Defining essence of individual and collective memory in their interrelation and development, the author has created the platform for conceptualization of urban memory. Concepts "memory figures", "reminiscence modes", "а subject of urban memory" "an object of urban memory", "the place of memory", "cultural forms", development of typology of cultural forms of the urban landscape and the concept "substitution" have allowed to create complete idea of urban memory.Urban memory is treated as one of forms of collective memory. It is carried out by the city as social community and collective historical identity in relation to itself, to the famous historical figures and products of the sociocultural development who personify the historical past and the present of the city, are uniform for members of urban society, are included in a context of personal memory and are reproduced in individual memoirs.Urban memory is changeable and substituted (from Latin – substitutio) because in development there is a replacement of one objects of memory with others. It is substantially caused by transformation of an urban cultural landscape and can be interpreted as natural development of the city and memory. On the example of Vitebsk the author has shown dependence of transformation of urban memory on change of an urban cultural landscape. The multilayered substitutability of the city and its memory is as a result revealed.
