The article examines the modern requirements for military personnel in our country, the features of the military education system, the organization of military vocational education based on the competence-based approach and its application in improving the quality of training of future officers. The current state of graphic education in higher military educational institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan and its problems are revealed. It also describes the importance of graphic training in the performance of officers and how to overcome existing training problems.

Historical literary works can morally and emotionally influence the spiritual development of a person. Therefore, they are effectively used in conducting spiritual and educational works in higher educational institutions. Historical literary works written on the topic of military courage are one of the important means of conducting spiritual and educational events in the higher military educational institutions. The effective organization of the process takes place in several stages. The article refers to the stages of selection of historical literary works for conducting spiritual and educational events.
The article deals with the essence of special competence of lecturers of special subjects in higher military educational institutions as a multidimensional integral formation, which is a structural complex of professional qualities, abilities and approving of a lecturer as a pedagogic activity subject, that enable him/her to realize successfully certain pedagogic functions as a pedagogic activity subject in the military education system. There were substantiated and experimentally verified the organizational and pedagogic conditions increasing the productivity of development of special subjects lecturers' special competence.

The article deals with the essence of theoretic and experimental check of author's andragogical model of development of foreign language communicative competence of lecturers of higher military educational institutions into educational process. The definition of "foreign language communicative competence" and its structure is proposed by author. The article reveals the main stages of experiment of foreign language communicative competence development. The results of pedagogical experiment on development foreign language communicative competence were presented and substantiated with help of Fisher F-test. The efficiency of the andragogical model was statistically proved.
The relevance of the article is substantiated by the development of intercultural competence which is assumed to be the required quality for military personnel nowadays.The article considers the analysis of features and prospects of "dialogue of cultures" educational approach application through the intercultural competence development among military students of higher military educational institutions in the course of foreign language training. The concept of dialogue and its role in the development of foreign language and intercultural competence is defined. The necessity to develop the dialogic speech competence with the use of other cultures interaction is substantiated.The article analyzes the basic principles of "dialogue of cultures" approach, which were established in the late 20th century based on the ideas of dialogue of cultures school by the philosopher B. Bibler. The article elicits a number of modern teaching approaches, which in combination with the technology of "dialogue of cultures" will help to form the necessary competencies of cadets of higher military educational institutions for professional communication. The algorithm of introduction of technology of "dialogue of cultures" provided in four stages is offered: diagnostics of readiness of cadets for communication, search of motivating factors, application of system of exercises for communicative interaction between cadets in the form of dialogue, providing feedback.It was found that the use of "dialogue of cultures" approach promotes developing a number of key competencies, i.e. the development of speech skills and critical thinking, the ability to search for information and use it in the speech, the enhancement of teamwork skills, and training through dialogue. Such competencies development is the condition to form intercultural competence, which enables servicemen to solve their professional tasks, as they affect the formation of cultural policy during international communication with representatives of various strata of society.
