The Peruvian Amazon is emerging as a hotspot of innovation and sustainability, driving transformational change that transcends geographic boundaries and attracts global attention. In this dynamic and promising context, this article explores the impact of innovation and sustainable development in the Peruvian Amazon region, highlighting its importance in global competitiveness and its potential to lead a resilient and prosperous future. The objective was to analyze the prospects and initiatives for innovation and sustainable development in the Peruvian Amazon region. In particular, it seeks to delve into how these initiatives could catalyze a transformation in the Amazon, strengthening its competitiveness in the global scenario. This study applied a qualitative-descriptive methodology, using surveys and data analysis with SPSS. This methodological choice was based on the need to obtain an exhaustive understanding of the subject, allowing the exploration of both the perceptions and experiences of the participants and the associated numerical data. The sample population consisted of 75 stakeholders. In conclusion, our study represents a significant contribution to the field by addressing a gap in existing knowledge on innovation and sustainable development in the Peruvian Amazon. By presenting new perspectives and approaches, our work provides a more complete and up-to-date understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing the region as it moves towards a sustainable and globally competitive future. the Peruvian Amazon is seen as a transformative agent with potential that transcends its natural boundaries. By adopting a comprehensive and visionary perspective, the region emerges as a beacon of hope for a sustainable and prosperous future. It is essential that future policies and actions recognize and strengthen these transformative perspectives, ensuring equitable and resilient development that benefits present and future generations. In this way, the Peruvian Amazon not only drives its own global competitiveness, but also inspires and leads the way towards a more prosperous and sustainable world.

The purpose of this study is to conduct a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of the publications of authors affiliated with the Universidad Nacional Toribio Rodríguez de Mendoza (UNTRM) indexed in Scopus, in order to understand the scientific approach and research trends of this Amazonian institution. The methodology employed follows a qualitative, descriptive, non-experimental and longitudinal bibliometric approach, using the Scopus database for its broad academic coverage. A total of 455 documents related to the UNTRM were analyzed, including articles, contributions to conferences, reviews and other publications, without temporal restrictions. Data were downloaded in CSV format and processed using spreadsheets, open source software such as VOSviewer and bibliometrix R with Biblioshiny. The results reveal a significant growth in the number of UNTRM publications, with presence in high impact international journals and regional specialized sources. Prolific authors, prominent areas of knowledge such as Agricultural, Biological, Social, Environmental and Medical Sciences were identified, as well as a strong network of inter-institutional collaborations. The trend analysis showed a thematic diversity aligned with the institutional mission, encompassing biodiversity, environmental management, medicine, genetics and education, among others. In conclusion, this bibliometric study reveals a promising outlook for research at UNTRM, with remarkable growth, international presence, strong collaborations and thematic diversity relevant to the Amazon region.

The bibliometric analysis sought to evaluate the scientific production related to the Chachapoyas culture and to provide a systematic and quantitative understanding of the current state of research in this field. Comprehensive searches were conducted in the Scopus database using the defined search criteria limiting the search to scientific articles published in scientific journals until September 2023. The results were exported in a format that allowed subsequent analysis. Relevant bibliographic data were extracted from the search results, including article title, authors, year of publication, abstract and citations. A number of bibliometric metrics were calculated, such as number of publications per year totaling 40, the number of citations per article totaling 354, and the most frequent keyword was Peru with 17 occurrences. The author with the highest number of publications was Toyne J.M. with 9 papers and the journal with the most publications was the International Journal of Osteoarchaeology with 4. The bibliometric analysis shows a constant production in the research of the Chachapoyas Culture, with international collaboration and influential studies. However, there is still much to study and discover about this important pre-Columbian culture.
