According to the author, dialectics is not foreign to the Chinese people. The Kuomintang (KMT) on Taiwan plays dialectical games from time to time, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has played similar ones since 1927. The dialectical games that the author presents in the article share the same structural properties and logic at the macrolevel. He argues that the ROC on Taiwan, especially since Lee Teng-hui has assumed the presidency in January 1988, is not very good at playing dialectical games vis-a-vis the PRC. The author discusses dialectical games in respect of Lee Teng-hui and his successors versus Jiang Zemin and his successors. (DÜI-Sen)
