Economic development of the Republic of China: A retrospect and prospect
In: Issues & studies: a social science quarterly on China, Taiwan, and East Asian affairs, Band 23, Heft 8, S. 72-100
ISSN: 1013-2511
After a historical and retrospective view of the past economic development, the author evaluates this development and suggests some of its implications. He then reviews the current economic situation in Taiwan and discusses some current measures. It is argued that the Chinese people in Taiwan have created a style of development which may serve as a valuable example and reproducible model for any developing country in the world. (DÜI-Sen)
