A STUDY ON SAVINGS AND INVESTMENT PATTERN OF TEXTILE WORKERS IN TIRUPPUR DISTRICT
India's textiles sector is one of the oldest industries in the Indian economy dating back several centuries. Even today, the textiles sector is one of the largest contributors to India's exports with approximately 11 percent of total exports. The study aims to study the level of awareness towards various investment avenues among the textile workers, the factor considered by the textile worker while making the investment and the level of satisfaction towards investment among the textile workers. Primary data are collected from the respondents through the questionnaire. Purposive Random Sampling is used to collect the data. The study is conducted among 200 textile workers in Tiruppur District. The study suggests that government should concentrate on middle-income people regarding investment.
