Letter to mother from Falmouth, Va., January 13, 1863
In this letter Edward states that he feels some family members don't write often enough. He is still in the Falmouth, Virginia area and thinks he will be for some time. He expresses disappointment in having General Banks sent to New Orleans and wonders if things could have been handled differently. Lastly, he mentions not having heard form Charlie Post and says that his brother Will should not feel badly over his failure.
