Objetivamos analisar a questão social e algumas de suas expressões na contemporaneidade brasileira frente ao avanço do ultraconservadorismo de cariz neonazista, por meio da análise feminista, marxista e antirracista. Para tanto, realizamos uma pesquisa bibliográfica e documental, conduzidas por meio do método materialista histórico dialético. O intuito deste artigo é contribuir com a renovação profissional e o avanço do Serviço Social crítico por meio do fortalecimento do nosso vínculo com os movimentos sociais e organizações da classe trabalhadora. Por conseguinte, esperamos contribuir com a práxis profissional comprometida com o enfrentamento às expressões da questão social frente ao crescimento do ultraconservadorismo neonazista no Brasil contemporâneo.

Esta escrita se trata do recorte de um estudo de caso acerca de como o poliamor se configura subjetivamente em um arranjo relacional entre três pessoas. A base epistemo-metodológica da investigação se sustentou na Epistemologia Qualitativa. Identificou-se no estudo o valor do desenvolvimento de uma comunicação ética entre o trisal na produção de sentidos subjetivos outros na forma como foram configurando subjetivamente sexualidade e aspectos de gênero ao longo de seu envolvimento poliamoroso.

Brazil's Bolsa Família Programme (BFP) aims to combat poverty and social inequalities through monetary transfers to families. A much-discussed indirect effect of the programme was its correlation to the fertility of the beneficiary families. In this paper, we use a cohort fertility approach with parity progression ratios that differs from existing literature, which mainly used period fertility measures, to better understand the relationship between fertility and the BFP. This study analyses the relationship between the BFP and the reproduction of Brazilian women. We use data from the 2010 Brazilian micro-censuses, the only census after the start of the BFP in 2004, to reconstruct the childbirth history of women with incomplete reproductive cycles (women aged 25 to 29), and estimate parity progression ratios (PPRs) and cohort fertility rates (CFR). In addition, we estimate propensity score matching (PSM) models comparing fertility outcomes of beneficiaries and non-beneficiaries of the programme. Our results show distinct differences in CFRs and PPRs. On average, BFP beneficiaries had more children than women not covered by the programme. This finding remained consistent even after controlling for educational gradients and other covariates. Our empirical findings show that women opt for a "rational" strategy, where they tend to have children in more rapid succession up until three children. These findings contradict the recent literature that has not found any correlation between BFP and fertility. The results also suggest that cohort analyses may fill certain gaps left by previous studies of period fertility. This paper is one of a few that have analysed the relationship between a conditional income transfer programme and cohort measures in Brazil.

Since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, Brazil has been among the countries that have been heavily affected by this novel disease. From March 2020 onwards, records of deaths in Brazil increased as the number of COVID-19 infections skyrocketed. Consequently, many studies have tried to explain how this illness has affected the overall number of deaths since the start of the pandemic, and have examined the question of whether mortality related to COVID-19 has led to reductions in life expectancy. However, at the time of writing, there have been few empirical analyses of the effects of the pandemic on births. In this study, we sought to investigate whether the COVID-19 pandemic influenced the recent birth counts of six large cities in Brazil by assessing the most up-to-date vital statistics data that are available. Using data from the municipal health departments of these cities, we compared the number of monthly births from October–December 2020 and January–March 2021 with the number of new-borns in similar months and years before the pandemic. Our results show that there was a strong decline in the number of births in some of the cities analysed, and that most of the reductions occurred among women around the age of 30 years old. It appears that because of the uncertainty surrounding the pandemic, women have been postponing or foregoing the realisation of their fertility intentions, which may have led to a temporary baby bust in some cities of Brazil. However, the COVID-19 pandemic was not found to be associated with faster reductions in births in all Brazilian cities. Indeed, in the cities of Rio de Janeiro and Belo Horizonte, the decreasing trend in birth counts appears to have slowed down, or even reversed.

Este estudo tem como objetivo descrever as etapas e métodos utilizados na recuperação de um trecho de pavimento flexível, por meio de um remendo profundo na MT 358, km 56, em Tangará da Serra, MT. A metodologia principal envolveu um estudo de caso no trecho danificado, complementado por uma revisão bibliográfica sobre pavimento e processos de recuperação. A intervenção iniciou-se com a remoção do pavimento antigo, seguida pela limpeza e execução de ensaios com a viga Benkelman nas camadas de sub-base e base. Os resultados indicaram a necessidade de reforço do subleito com rachão e aplicação de uma camada de 15 cm de Brita Granulada Simples (BGS) para aumentar a durabilidade da estrutura. Após a imprimação da base, foi aplicado e compactado o Concreto Betuminoso Usinado a Quente (CBUQ) para formar uma camada de rolamento flexível e durável. Os ensaios realizados apontam que a nova estrutura oferece maior capacidade de suporte e resiliência, minimizando riscos de deformações futuras. Este trabalho contribui para a área ao fornecer uma abordagem estruturada para reparos profundos em pavimentos flexíveis, ressaltando a importância do reforço das camadas para garantir a durabilidade e segurança das infraestruturas rodoviárias.

Este é um estudo descritivo, com o objetivo de relatar as experiências de atividade grupal com trabalhadores com Lesões por Esforços Repetitivos / Distúrbio Osteomusculares Relacionados ao Trabalho, realizado no segundo semestre de 2019. Participaram seis trabalhadores, com idades variando entre 49 e 62 anos (55,16±4,45), sendo cinco (83,3%) mulheres. Entre os relatos associados ao sofrimento destaca-se as dores crônicas intensas que contribuem para o surgimento de medo, angústia, ansiedade e depressão. As intervenções indicaram que a abordagem grupal permitiu o compartilhamento dos sentimentos e fortaleceram as relações de confiança entre os trabalhadores e os profissionais, possibilitando a criação de estratégias individuais e coletivas para o enfrentamento do sofrimento.

Objective: This study aimed to analyze the contextual aspects of the therapeutic communication phenomenon between nurses and male users in the context of healthcare. Method: This is an analytical reflection, developed from a contextual analysis to understand the phenomenon. Results: The discussion of the study's phenomenon was therefore basedon the analysis of four contexts: immediate, specific, general and meta-context, allowing one conceptualization of therapeutic communication, the factors and beliefs that permeate this communication, and finally, the social prospect of the nurse and male client. Conclusion: It was concluded in this research that there is a need for therapeutic communication between the nurse and the male client so that the integral care can occur. Nurses with technical training and holistic vision will be able execute adequate therapeutic communication, expanding the vision of the male client as responsible and co-author of his own health.

The objective of this study was to evaluate the effects of forage palm combined with different forages in the diet of F1 Holstein x Zebu cows, on the quality of Minas Frescal cheese. Two simultaneous 4 x 4 Latin squares were used in the experimental design. The treatments consisted of sorghum silage as the sole forage source; replacement of 50% sorghum silage by forage palm; elephant grass as the only forage source; 50% replacement of elephant grass by forage palm. Milk samples from each cow were analyzed for the chemical composition and the milk was pasteurized for cheese production. The gross and adjusted yields, texture, chemical and sensorial characteristics and fatty acid profile were evaluated. The chemical composition of the cheese was not influenced by the diets, as well as the sum of saturated, monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids. However, a lower stearic acid content was found in cheese from the milk of cows fed grass with forage palm and a lower value of conjugated linoleic acid for the diet with silage alone. In the consumer preference ranking test, the most preferred cheese was that of the sorghum silage diet and the least preferred was that of the sorghum silage/forage palm diet. In the overall impression, higher scores were assigned to cheeses of the treatments with exclusive silage or elephant grass. The replacement of 50% sorghum silage or elephant grass by the forage palm did not change the chemical composition of the Minas Frescal cheese, however, it modified the profile of fatty acids and decreased the acceptance and preference of cheese by the consumers.
