The purpose of the article is to carry out the economic and institutional analysis of development of farms and to define prospects of strengthening of a role of this form of managing in organizational and economic maintenance of employment of the population in agricultural production. Research methods. In the process of research a number of general scientific and special methods were used, in particular: system-structural analysis and synthesis as the main methodological tool (for analysis of development and efficiency of farms in the context of employment performance evaluations); monographic (in determining the nature and methodological assessment of the priority of the role of farms as promising to ensure the socio-economic development of the territories); extrapolation (when substantiating the promising strategic priorities for the development of family farming as an entrepreneurial subsystem to ensure opportunities to solve problems of sustainable development of rural areas and employment of the rural population). Research results. The methodological context is outlined and empirical assessments of the role and trends in the development of farms in the organizational and economic support of employment are made. The specifics of characterizing the importance of farms as subjects of entrepreneurial activity in the agricultural sector of the economy, which have a special socio-economic significance in the status of implementation of the functions of the labor institution while ensuring its productivity and efficiency. A comparative assessment of the efficiency of production activities of agricultural enterprises and farms according to the product approach in the format of profitability estimates. The concept of perspective significance of family farms in the mechanism of their institutionalization into the market mechanism of agricultural employment is characterized. Scientific novelty. It is proved that in Ukraine farms, in particular family farms are extremely important in solving the problems of rural activity, are able to implement programs of mass development of agricultural employment, as well as contribute to the sustainable development of territories. It is established that farming gradually acquires efficiency that prevails over other forms of management, which is associated with the motivation of work on the basis of family employment, the personification of the results of employment on one's own farm. Theoretical and methodological assumptions are conceptualized and practical assessments of the exceptional importance of the priority of systemic support for the development of family farming in rural areas within the implementation of the global trend of promoting sustainable development as a priority model of entrepreneurial employment, a mechanism to improve welfare. Practical significance. The definition of the role of farms and family farms in the organizational and economic provision of employment of the population with a projection on the achievement of criteria for the sustainability of the development of the agricultural sector and territories is methodologically substantiated and conceptualized. The purpose of the article is to reveal the features of theoretical and methodological approaches to the formation of indices and indicators of sustainable development of entrepreneurship in agriculture. Research methods. The research uses dialectical methods of scientific knowledge of the formation of indices and indicators of sustainable development of entrepreneurship in agriculture, primarily analysis and synthesis. Empirical methods of cognition, such as description, measurement and comparison, were also used to characterize the quantitative indicators of indicators of sustainable development of entrepreneurship in agriculture. Statistical index and correlation-regression methods were used for the analysis of sustainable development indices. Research results. In the process of disclosing theoretical and methodological approaches to the formation of indices and indicators of sustainable development of entrepreneurship in agriculture, it is established that in determining indicators and indices of sustainability of entrepreneurship should make maximum use of existing national and sectoral systems for monitoring and assessing the national economy integration with the possibility of their supplementation and full integration. All calculations should be performed by analyzing statistical reporting and summary statistical indicators of entrepreneurship in agriculture. The system of indicators with which to judge the individual aspects of business development should be built by dividing it into groups - environmental, social and economic. All indices should be built on the methods of integrated and aggregate indices, which can be used to comprehensively judge the development of entrepreneurship in agriculture and the country as a whole. Such indicators should be divided into economic-ecological, ecological-social, socio-economic groups and a separate index of sustainable development of entrepreneurship in agriculture. Scientific novelty. The main theoretical and methodological approaches to the formation of indices and indicators of sustainable development of entrepreneurship in agriculture are revealed and the scheme of their construction is proposed and the list of the main indicators of sustainable development of entrepreneurship in agriculture by components is given. Practical significance. The presented theoretical and methodological approaches should be used as a basis for building indices and indicators of sustainable business development.

The purpose of the article is to characterize the role of "green" cooperatives in the formation of institutional components of the development of alternative energy in the agricultural sector of the economy. Research methods. The article uses such a theoretical method as generalization during the study of the essence of the category of "green" energy cooperative. As well as the method of analysis in the process of considering the current state of development of alternative energy in Ukraine. In addition, an explanation method was used to study the role of "green" energy cooperatives in the development of alternative energy. Research results. The basic concept of "cooperation" and the derivative "energy cooperative" from the point of view of various authors are considered, the own explanation of the term "green" energy cooperative is given. The state of development of alternative energy in Ukraine is described. The trends of energy consumption based on renewable sources in the country for 2013-2018 are analyzed, according to which the share of energy supply from renewable sources is growing every year in 2018 with a rate of 4.6%. Motivations for active construction of solar power plants with the largest number of such in Dnipropetrovsk and Ternopil regions were noted. The institutional components of the development of alternative energy are noted, the emphasis is on "green" cooperatives. The main normative legal acts, ie formal institutions regulating renewable energy in the country, namely laws, orders, strategies are considered. An element of the institutional mechanism, such as organizations that control and structure the process of development of alternative energy sources, including in the agricultural sector of the economy, is analyzed. An example of successful experience of foreign countries in "green" energy cooperation, including the United Kingdom and Germany. Scientific novelty. The own explanation of the category "green" energy cooperatives "is formed. The importance of energy cooperatives in the development of the "green economy" in the agricultural sector of the economy is proved. Practical significance. The results of the study can be used to accelerate the further active development of "green" energy cooperatives, which will have a significant impact on increasing the production and consumption of alternative energy sources in rural areas, as well as reducing energy costs by farms and private farms. The experience of highly developed countries proves that agricultural producers are one of the stabilizing factors of the socio-economic relations of states as a whole. In the context of effective management of agricultural producers in Ukraine and Poland, it is important to find out the features and trends of their modern development. A number of tools have been involved to stimulate the development of agriculture, which include: improvement of institutional support; infrastructure development of rural areas; implementation of financial instruments for the development of agriculture; provision of personnel at agricultural producers. The subject of our economic research interests is the characterization of organizational and economic determinants and a comparison of the development trends of agricultural production in Poland and Ukraine in the context of modern food security challenges. The results of the calculations can be taken into account for operational and strategic planning of the behaviour of agricultural producers. The aim of the investigation is to outline the development trends of agricultural producers in Ukraine and Poland and to develop approaches to ensure their effective functioning. A systematic approach to the study of conditions and factors that comprehensively affect the development of agricultural producers has been applied. The research uses a comparative analysis of the main economic indicators of the activity of agricultural producers in Ukraine and Poland. A comprehensive approach allowed us to conduct a study of the main indicators of the activity of agricultural producers with the inclusion in their production activity of the entire set of social and production components. The study confirms the better performance of the Polish agricultural sector than the Ukrainian one in 2010-2020. It suggests potential benefits from the use of Polish experiences by Ukrainian producers. Integration processes are characteristic of all sectors of the economy, but in agriculture, based on the specifics of the sector, and as the experience of enterprises in Poland and the Lublin Voivodeship shows, provide positive results, both for agricultural producers themselves and for society as a whole.

The purpose of the article is to reveal the essence of the processes related to institutional changes in the legal regulation of the agricultural cooperation development. Research methods. Built on the doctrine of the fundamental principles of cooperation. The dialectical method of scientific knowledge, systemic generalization, abstract synthesis was used in accordance with the changes in the legislative framework when defining the essence and methodological assessment of relations in agriculture. Research results. A substantiated analysis of changes in the legal framework for the development of agricultural cooperation in 2020 is carried out. The need to harmonize the fundamental principles of cooperation and the practice of forming agricultural cooperatives in rural areas is proved, taking into account the development priorities of various cooperative structures. Scientific novelty. The essence of the operation of the legal framework for the formation and functioning of agricultural cooperatives in the context of the transformation of the development of the agrarian sector of the economy is revealed, legal collisions of the formation of pseudo-cooperatives are substantiated. Practical significance. The disadvantages of the new legislative framework for the development of agricultural cooperation in Ukraine are indicated, which can be used in the formation of the programmatic basis for the creation of agricultural cooperatives. The purpose of the article is to make conceptual assessments of the implementation of the principles of inclusive rural areas development with the participation of agroholding integrated formations. Research methods. In the course of the research a number of general scientific and special methods were used, in particular: system-structural analysis and synthesis as the main methodological tool (in the analysis of directions of social responsibility and inclusive development of agroholding integrated formations); monographic (in determining the essence and methodological assessment of the role of agroholding integrated formations as integrated structures in the inclusive development of Ukraine's economy); extrapolations (with substantiation of potential and possibilities of strengthening of inclusive orientation in development of agroholding integrated formations for the future). Research results. The methodological context of inclusiveness in the effects of management in the agricultural sector of the economy in the formation of the concept of sustainability is outlined. Institutional and organizational-economic characteristics are revealed and priority roles of agroholding integrated formations in realization of principles of inclusive development of rural territories are identified. The emphasis on the direction of development of agroholding integrated formations on realization of projects of socially responsible management which will consider features of development of rural territories is defined as effective and methodically expedient. Scientific novelty. The methodological context of inclusiveness in the effects of management in the agricultural sector of the economy in the formation of the concept of sustainability is outlined. Institutional and organizational-economic characteristics are revealed and priority roles of agroholding integrated formations in realization of principles of inclusive development of rural territories are identified. Entrepreneurs in agriculture ensure the potential of the country's food security and environmental protection. The study aims to substantiate the social, economic and conceptual foundations of the activities of business entities in agriculture under martial law. The research methodology is based on the provisions of system-functional analysis and institutional economic theory. Graphical, and abstract methods of systematisation of results were used. The study found that in 2023, more than 50 thousand business entities (92% of them were farms) produced products. 1.6 thousand agricultural businesses received loans worth 60.1 billion UAH. The author substantiates the need to keep the preferential financing of agricultural entrepreneurs under the "Affordable Loans 5-7-9%" programme as "survival loans" with the expansion of the limits to 130-140 million UAH and a reduction of the interest rate to 5%. The study determined that small business and family farming are the primary guarantors of employment. It is proved that in the period 2017-2022, 84.64% of the variation in net profit is explained by the variation in the level of agricultural products sold by business entities. The article substantiates the expediency of applying the organisational and economic principles of business development in wartime, developing comprehensive indicators for assessing the state of development of business structures in the agricultural sector of the economy and the impact of entrepreneurship on the development of rural areas. The indicators of development and efficiency of agricultural enterprises are characterised. The information and analytical material can be considered when developing regional programmes for the development of agrarian entrepreneurship.

Small businesses producing cereals, legumes, and sunflower seeds contribute to the country's food security and environmental protection potential. The purpose of this study was to substantiate the social, economic, and conceptual foundations of small business entities' activities in the production of cereals, legumes, and sunflower seeds in modern conditions. The methodological framework of the study included the provisions of institutional economic theory and functional analysis. To generalise the results, the study employed analysis, graphic, and abstract-logical methods, and approaches of generalisation of results. The motivational orientation of the functioning of small businesses engaged in the production of cereals, legumes, and sunflower seeds and their place in production and consumption were determined. The study found that in 2023, the company achieved a record grain yield of 51.8 100 kg/ha, which was driven by favourable weather conditions. It was substantiated that the cost of crop production has increased due to lower prices for agricultural products (maize by -41%; sunflower by -35%; wheat by -37%) and an almost twofold increase in the cost of plant protection products and fuel. It was proved that in 2017-2022, 91.79% of the variation in net profit is explained by the variation in the level of grain, legumes, and sunflower seeds sold by small businesses. It was found that the disruption of the sales system of small businesses producing cereals, legumes, and sunflower seeds, the low level of purchase prices and the considerable increase in prices for material and technical sources of survival and fertilisers due to the hostilities make production inefficient. The development of small businesses and family farming stays one of the priority areas of regional policy. The information and analytical material can be considered when creating regional programmes for the development of agrarian entrepreneurship.

The purpose of the article is to carry out an analytical assessment of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the development of the agricultural sector of the Ukrainian economy. Research methods. The research toolkit of the discourse on the issues considered in the article includes general scientific and economic methods, the classical methodology of understanding the foundations of economic management in market conditions, scientific developments of scientists on overcoming crisis phenomena in the socio-economic system, as well as publications and materials of analysis by scientists of the impact of quarantine associated with the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, on the development of the agricultural sector of the economy. To carry out empirical assessments and identify trends in changing the effects of the functioning of the agricultural sector of the economy, monographic, normative and positive approaches were used, as well as methods of abstract-logical cognition, an index method, a method for summarizing results - to formulate conclusions and recommendations for the future. Research results. The effective part of the study contains assessments of the effectiveness of the economic potential of the agricultural sector of Ukraine's economy in the context of restrictive measures to contain the COVID-19 pandemic by identifying the most sensitive segments of interaction of stakeholders in the industry. The tendencies of structural changes and the dynamics of employment of the population in agricultural activities are established, the structure of entrepreneurial formations in connection with the factor of the COVID-19 pandemic and the measures of the state and local authorities to contain it are characterized. The article shows the effects of market interaction of micro-, meso- and macro-level stakeholders with the disclosure of the dynamics of positioning of the national agro-consumer complex in the global agricultural market. The relationship between the effectiveness of the development of the agrarian sector of the Ukrainian economy in the conditions of quarantine to contain the COVID-19 pandemic with the national characteristics of the structure and specialization of production, the composition of business formations, food supply models and the main sales channels has been proved. Scientific novelty. The national specifics of the development and the peculiarities of the formation of the efficiency and functioning of the agricultural sector of the Ukrainian economy in the conditions of the quarantine measures to contain the COVID-19 pandemic are determined, the place of the industry in the development of the national economy is characterized, taking into account the trends of an unstable market and the transitivity of product sales channels. Practical significance. The study results can be taken into account when developing priority areas and prospects for the development of the agricultural sector of Ukraine's economy in conditions of institutional market instability and deformation of the economic mechanism due to the introduction of restrictions to contain pandemics. Therefore, the purpose of the article is to study the main institutional imperatives of the development of cooperative relations of business entities in modern conditions.In the article, based on theoretical-methodical analysis and structurally functional approach, the system-forming socio-economic institutes of cooperation are defined. It is determined that among the socio-economic institutions of co-operation, institutions of cost, efficiency, co-operative ideology occupy a significant place. The institution of expenditures is described in detail, defined types of transaction costs (information search, negotiation, measurement, specification and protection of property rights, opportunistic behavior, politicization) and their characteristics in the context of cooperation. The institute of cooperative ideology and its influence on expenses of cooperative association are investigated. It is proved that the main advantage and motive of cooperation is the desire to obtain an additional (synergetic) effect from the interaction of participants. The synergistic effect may be due to the fact that the combined use of several mutually agreed strategies is more beneficial than the isolated implementation of someone and comes as a result of the self-organization of complex systems.
