Sobre la base de los resultados obtenidos en las elecciones al Parlamento de Andalucía de 3 de marzo de 1996, vamos a realizar un ejercicio de "política ficción" que consistirá en ver cuántos votos tendría que obtener el Partido Socialista Obrero Español de Andalucía, para obtener un escaño más en cada circunscripción. Posteriormente haremos lo mismo para el segundo partido más votado, que en todos los casos resultó ser el Partido Popular. ; The aim of the present paper is to implement a "political simulation" that calculates how many votes are required to make PSOE-A win one seat from the others in each electoral district. Then the simulation Will be repeated for de second political party (PP) in numbcr of vote. The data used in the paper stem from the Andalusian Regional Eleccion celebrated on Yd. March, 1996.
Our research aims to address the following research questions: (a) to identify guests' hidden experiences in a distribution of terms over a fixed vocabulary by analysing a bulk set of online reviews through the process of text mining, and in particular, (b) to assess if the Airbnb guest experience represented in them can be used to enhance Airbnb services. On the other hand, our study analyses the relationship between the topics identified and Airbnb pricing, and mainly measures the influence of gender as a moderating cue. In this regard, a growing body of research has emerged to examine gender differences in leisure participation. In particular, our study concludes how the guests' gender affects the contributions of listings' features in price prediction. Females are more intrinsically motivated and preferentially mention, for instance, the Airbnb accommodation's location and the gratifying (local) experiences in their narratives. On the contrary, male guests highlight hygiene and apartment facilities. To sum up, our research provides design guidelines to reflect the willingness to hire an apartment, offering insights for research and practice, and allowing the layout of pricing-recommendation systems. ; Research Group, Government of Andalusia, Spain SEJ494
On numerous occasions the significant value of the investments involved in the development of eGovernment and the expectations of governmental information systems use do not correspond to the rate of effective use. This scenario makes it difficult to justify the development of electronic government by governments and local authorities among its citizens. It is therefore important to understand the factors that influence the employees' intention of using governmental information systems. With the aim of understanding the determining factors of using an Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) in the context of Portuguese municipalities, this study develops an empirical analysis using the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) model, (Venkatesh et al., 2003). This model's application for information systems research in the governmental context has a weak expression and is unique in EDMS research. This empirical research follows a realist and positivist approach. Data was collected from a survey answered by 2,175 employees of Portuguese municipalities (EDMS users). Partial Least Squares (PLS) was used to test the model proposed. The results showed that Intention to Use is positively affected by Performance Expectancy, Effort Expectancy, Social Influence and Facilitating Conditions. With respect to the EDMS Use, the results showed that it is positively influenced by Intention to Use and Facilitating Conditions. The main result indicates that EDMS users believe that the use of this information system will help them to obtain performance benefits in their work. However, the increasing use of EDMS is not very influenced by the system's perceived ease of use. In short, this study provides a contribution to the Information Systems Acceptance and Adoption literature in local eGovernmental contexts. In addition, our contribution empirically tests the model for implementation in governmental organizations and provides a better understanding of the adoption and use of an EDMS
Ante los elevados niveles de suspensos y no presentados obtenidos en la asignatura "Economía de la Unión Europea" en cursos anteriores, nos planteamos detectar las dificultades existentes tanto para su enseñanza como para su aprendizaje. Una vez analizadas, consideramos la aplicación de Metodologías de Aprendizaje Activo para solventarlas. La metodología utilizada ha consistido en proporcionar, a través de la plataforma de enseñanza virtual de la Universidad, un material básico elaborado por los profesores. Además se han realizado mapas conceptuales que sintetizan los elementos fundamentales y su interrelación. Se ha fomentado el análisis y debate del material entre los alumnos, a través de foros virtuales y presenciales tutelados por los profesores. Las clases se han dedicado a la explicación de los mapas conceptuales y los contenidos de mayor dificultad. Finalmente, se han realizado un conjunto de actividades prácticas siguiendo la filosofía del aprendizaje basado en problemas (estudio de casos reales, debates, elaboración e interpretación de estadísticas). Así mismo se ha implantado un nuevo sistema de evaluación con un peso relevante de la evaluación continua. Los resultados obtenidos avalan la utilización de esta metodología. No obstante, se siguen detectando dificultades que serán resueltas con la realización de ajustes en la metodología. ; Given the high levels of suspended and not shown obtained in the course "Economics of the European Union" in previous years, we plan to identify the difficulties both for teaching and for learning. After analyzing these difficulties, we consider the application of active learning methodologies to solve them. The methodology has been to provide, through the virtual learning platform of the University, a basic material prepared by teachers. Furthermore, conceptual maps have been made to synthesize the key elements and their interrelationships. It has encouraged the analysis and discussion of material among students through forums supervised by teachers. The sessions were devoted to the explanation of the concept maps and content more difficult. Finally, there have been practical activities to reinforce the content (case studies, debates, drawing on interpretation of statistics). It also has implemented a new evaluation system. The results seem to support the use of this methodology, both as a greater number of students presented as approved. However, difficulties are detected to be resolved by making adjustments in methodology.
Durante los cursos 2009-2010 y 2010-2011, los dos únicos cursos finalizados por el momento en del Grado en Administración y Dirección de Empresas en la Universidad de Sevilla, se ha utilizado la técnica del método del caso para la explicación de una parte del programa de la asignatura de Microeconomía, con el fin de mejorar el rendimiento académico e interés por la asignatura. En concreto, la parte del programa dedicada al estudio del mercado de trabajo en vez de ser explicada siguiendo la metodología tradicional de la clase magistral se utilizó la metodología del caso, poniendo a disposición de los alumnos un caso diseñado ex profeso por el equipo docente de Microeconomía del departamento de Análisis Económico y Economía Política. El objetivo perseguido con este trabajo es analizar la incidencia del uso de esta nueva metodología docente en el rendimiento académico del alumno, comparando la calificación de la parte del examen correspondiente a esta materia, antes y después del uso del método del caso y comparando también la nota obtenida por los mismos alumnos en la parte del examen correspondiente al mercado de trabajo con la obtenida en el resto de la materia objeto de evaluación. ; During the 2009-2010 and 2010-2011 courses, the only two courses completed by the time in Business Administration and Management degree at the University of Seville, we have used the technique of the case method for explaining some part of Microeconomics course, in order to improve academic performance and interest in the subject. Specifically, the part of the program devoted to the study of the labor market rather than following the traditional methodology the case method was used, by providing students with a case designed expressly for the microeconomics teaching team of Economic Analysis and Political Economy Department. The aims of this paper is to analyze the impact of using this new teaching methodology in the student's academic performance, comparing the score of the exam for this subject, before and after using the case method, and also comparing the score obtained by these students in the examination for the labor market with that in the rest of the material under evaluation.
Como consecuencia de la evolución legislativa en relación a la actividad del profesor universitario se ha elaborado un borrador del Estatuto del Personal Docente e Investigador (PDI). Éste se plantea como plataforma necesaria para alcanzar la excelencia en la realización de la docencia y la investigación para poder competir a nivel europeo y mundial. No obstante, ha suscitado la aparición de opiniones contrapuestas en cuanto a su articulado. Este trabajo tiene como objetivo explorar, mediante entrevistas semiestructuradas, la opinión del profesorado sobre aspectos clave del borrador. Los resultados indican que, si bien el profesorado considera necesaria la existencia del estatuto, manifiesta ciertas prevenciones sobre los posibles efectos negativos de su implantación. ; As a result of legislative developments in relation to the activity of the university professor has been elaborated a draft of the Statute of the Teaching and Research Staff (TRS). This is presented as necessary platform to achieve the excellence conducting the teaching and the investigation in order to compete at European and globally level. However, it has led to the appearance of conflicting views as to its provisions. This study aims to explore, through semi-structured interviews, the teacher opinion on key aspects of the draft. The results indicate that although the teachers consider necessary the existence of the statute, manifest certain warnings about the possible negative effects of its implementation.
