INNER AREAS NATIONAL STRATEGY AND EXTRAORDINARY POSTEARTHQUAKE 2016 RECONSTRUCTION PROGRAMS: A POSSIBLE AND NECESSARY CONVERGENCE TO REGENERATE THE FRAGILE AND MARGINALIZED TERRITORIES OF THE CENTRAL APENNINESAs known, the internal areas, far from the centers that provide essential services, and characterized by a prolonged demographic and economic decline, represent a particularly significant prototype of marginalized areas, just as the mountainous territories of the Apennines identify fragile areas repeatedly hit by natural disasters and particularly exposed to seismic phenomena. Once the areas affected by the 2016 earthquake were identified, there was a partial overlap between the two phenomena and the need to make the policiespromoted to address them coherent and synergistic. The contribution intends to analyze the characteristics of the two phenomena, highlighting the synergistic elements, the conflicts or the absence of dialogue, through the analysis of data relating to two internal areas in the Marche region in which the research group played the role of intermediary, engaged in the construction of post-earthquake reconstruction paths in which they realized the need to establish useful alliances with other projects and policies in progress.Keywords: Inner Areas, Building Back Better, disaster risk reduction ; Come noto, le Aree interne, distanti dai centri che dispensano servizi essenziali, e caratterizzate da un prolungato declino demografico ed economico, rappresentano un prototipo significativo di aree marginalizzate, così come i territori montuosi degli Appennini identificano aree fragili ripetutamente colpite da disastri naturali ed esposte ai fenomeni sismici. Nelle aree colpite dal sisma 2016 si è verificata la parzialesovrapposizione tra i due fenomeni e la necessità di rendere coerenti e sinergiche le politiche promosse per affrontarli. Il contributo analizza i caratteri dei due fenomeni evidenziandone le sinergie, le conflittualità o l'assenza di dialogo, attraverso l'analisi di due aree interne in regione Marche nelle quali il gruppo di ricerca ha svolto il ruolo di soggetto intermedio, ingaggiato nella costruzione di percorsi di ricostruzione post-sisma nei quali emerge la necessità di stabilire utili alleanze con altre progettualità e politiche in atto.Parole chiave: aree interne, ricostruzione post-sisma, disaster risk reduction

This book seeks to enhance the cultural dimension of sustainable development and particularly focuses on minor historic centers and their natural and rural landscapes. In a society becoming ever more globalized, without territorial restrictions in the production of goods and able to reproduce in China the goods and product characteristic of South American crafts (to mention just two extremes), the only element that can still be contextualized is heritage identity: the result of close integration between cultural assets, intangible assets and settled communities. Thus, heritage identity is one of the few elements, together with natural resources, which has the potential for economic development that is still firmly rooted in places and local populations. These towns are often the centerpiece of urban landscapes and geographical areas with original features, not always but often as individual places within networks of minor historical centers linked by shared history, traditions and/or natural elements (rivers, forests, river systems or other natural elements). They are outside the major tourist networks, even if now there is a budding interest in the touristic exploitation of these environments. So, they are the right places to pursue a sustainable and local development with a cultural perspective. This book is a product of the VIVA_EASTPART project (Valorisation and Improving of management of Small Historic Centres in the eastern PARTnership region), under the EU-funded ℓ́ℓENPI Eastern Partnershipℓ́ℓ program. It complements the more practically-focused work that is in production from this group, more focused on empirical approaches to the development of minor historic centers of the nations involved. Though the book has been influenced by this research and working experience, the authors are solely responsible for the content and opinions presented.

"Placemaking has become a key concept in many disciplines. Due to an increase in digitization, mobilities, migration and rapid changes to the urban environments, it is important to learn how planning and social experts practice it in different contexts. Placemaking in Practice provides an inventory of practices, reflecting on different issues related to placemaking from a pan European perspective. It brings different cases, perspectives, and results analysed under the same purpose, to advance knowledge on placemaking, the actors engaged and results for people. It is backed by an intensive review of recent literature on placemaking, engagement, methods and activism results - towards developing a new placemaking agenda. This book is the result of discussions that took place during the XXIII Forum of the Association of Young Legal Historians held in Naples in the spring of 2017. ; The collection of thirty-five essays presented here examines the links forged through the ages between the realm of law and the expressions of the humanistic culture. The essays are organized into sections of ten chapters based around ten different themes. Two main perspectives emerged: in some articles the topic relates to the conventional approach of 'law and/in humanities' (iconography, literature, architecture, cinema, music), other articles are about more traditional connections between fields of knowledge (in particular, philosophy, political experiences, didactics). The variety of authorial nationalities gives the collection a multicultural character and the historiographical interpretation is the element that unites the collection, with a breadth of the chronological period goes from antiquity to the contemporary age.
