This article presents the results of a scientific social-pedagogical research, which goal was displaying an overview of the current situation of migrant farm workers in Mexico, from a first approach to the state of knowledge on this issue through a documentary-bibliographic study. The study showed that the most researchers approach the issues of migrant farm workers from economic theory, however, is not enough to analyze the economic and social status of this group of people, it is necessary to place it in a multidisciplinary level (including economics, sociology, political science, psychology, education, etc.), study it from the theory of marginality and qualitative approach.
This paper presents the results of a scientific pedagogical research, which goal was to reveal the main features of the socio-educational programs for migrant farm workers in Mexico, studying the projects of the Mexican government to integrate the agricultural laborers into social and working life. The study showed that the socio-educational programs for migrant farm workers in Mexico are characterized by the following aspects: decentralization; budgets and government actions at national and local levels; educational cooperation with non-governmental organizations as well as private institutions and NGOs, both domestic and foreign; influence of civil organizations and their organization in networks; diversity of educational programs; creation of training programs for educators. ; Este trabajo presenta los resultados de una investigación, cuyo objetivo fue revelar las principales características de los programas socio-educativos para los trabajadores agrícolas migrantes en México. El estudio de los proyectos del gobierno mexicano para integrar a los trabajadores agrícolas en la vida social y laboral, mostró que los programas socio-educativos para los trabajadores agrícolas migrantes en México se caracterizan por los siguientes aspectos: la descentralización; presupuestos y acciones de gobierno a nivel nacional y local; cooperación educativa con las organizaciones no gubernamentales, así como instituciones privadas y organizaciones no gubernamentales, tanto nacionales como extranjeras; influencia de las organizaciones civiles y su organización en las redes; la diversidad de los programas educativos; creación de programas de formación para los educadores.
