Child labour has been widely associated with poverty that deprives them of their childhood and dignity and is detrimental to their health, education and it more importantly hampers their development abilities. It is clearly in contravention with the concept of human development which directly focuses on the progress of human lives and their well-being and is measured on the basis of three parameters-economic well-being, education and health. In the present paper an attempt has been made to ascertain the human development criterion of a child labour engaged in sports good industry of Meerut. Adapted from the source document.
