Objective: To identify the management skills needed for this professional at an emergency care unit. Method: An exploratory descriptive qualitative study conducted with eight nurses in which semi-structured interviews with nonparticipating systematic observation were conducted; the data was processed by content analysis. Results: The categories which emerged from the content analysis served as a list of management skills necessary to their work at the emergency care unit: leadership, decision making, communication, time management and teamwork. Conclusion: management skills can communicate between each other and are mobilized in a hologramatic manner in the nurses' performance in a scenario which greatly enhances the technical aspect as key to a productive practice.

Objetivo: identificar os espaços de atuação das enfermeiras após a implantação do modelo de Unidades Gerenciais em uma instituição hospitalar de ensino de grande porte e alta complexidade, da região sul do Brasil. Método: estudo exploratório descritivo de abordagem qualitativa, na modalidade de estudo de caso. Os dados foram coletados por entrevista semi-estruturada com 15 enfermeiras representantes dos cargos ocupados pela categoria na instituição.Resultados: as participantes são do sexo feminino, de 25 a 59 anos, com tempo de atuação no hospital entre 05 e 30 anos, a maioria pós-graduada. As atividades dividem-se em: assessoria em comissões ou comitês, vigilância em saúde, atividades de gerenciamento, assistência de enfermagem, educação em serviço, orientação em saúde, pesquisa e atividades administrativas institucionais. Conclusões: as enfermeiras que trabalham com assessoria sustentam a operacionalização de algumas políticas públicas de saúde; nos cargos da estrutura do Serviço de Enfermagem, atividades estão relacionadas ao gerenciamento do cuidado e da unidade; e nos cargos administrativos externos, visam às demandas institucionais gerais.
This study aimed to identify the understanding of nurses from an emergency service on humanization and their conception on the embracement with risk classification. Descriptive qualitative research carried out from July to September 2010 through semi-structured interview with eight nurses from an emergency service of a school hospital in Curitiba, Parana, Brazil. The data underwent Bardin's content analysis. Three categories emerged: the first describes the understanding of the nurses from the emergency service on humanization; the second, the understanding of these nurses on embracement with risk classification is shown; and the third, the essential elements for the implementation of embracement with risk classification are listed. There is a need for the subjects to deepen their knowledge on the recommendations from the National Politics of Humanization to implement the embracement with risk classification in this scene.

ABSTRACT Objective: To analyze the historical trajectory and the contributions of the Programa de Atenção às Mulheres em Situação de Violência (Program of Care to Women Victims of Violence) of Curitiba. Method: Research with documentary and local approach, inspired by the Dimension of Political History, to unveil power relations, political representations, symbols and discourses. Eighty-eight sources were used for the period 1997-2014. The data collection was performed in May 2016 and presented in the timeline modality. Results: The historical trajectory of the program indicates intersectoral and interinstitutional experience that has been increasing and originating important innovations in care to women based on humanization and from the perspective of comprehensiveness. Final considerations: Historicizing the Program contributed to the reflection on the construction of practices aimed at confronting violence, the need for intersectoral actions and looks that involve its complexity.

RESUMO O artigo objetivou identificar as características das pesquisas na área de saúde sobre o tema cultura organizacional publicadas em revistas brasileiras. A busca foi efetuada na Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde a partir do termo 'cultura organizacional', no período de 2007 a 2016. Foram encontrados 30 artigos em revistas nacionais de Qualis A1, A2, B1 nas áreas de avaliação Capes (Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior): enfermagem, saúde coletiva e psicologia. Os resultados evidenciaram o predomínio de artigos quantitativos e a aplicação de grande variedade de instrumentos para analisar a cultura organizacional na saúde, o que amplia as possibilidades de investigação e análise de diferentes aspectos do tema.
The objective was to identify the dimension of the process of nursing work in a unit of the Family Health Strategy and correlate the necessary competences for the development of managerial activities. It is a descriptive study using the technique of non-participant observation during 160 hours of activities of four nurses from a unit of the Family Health Strategy, from March to May, 2011. The results showed that the care dimension holds 42% of the time spent by nurses in their activities, followed by management (33%), education (20%) and political participation (2.5%). In managerial dimension, managerial competences were classified as follows: communication (55%), leadership (33%), permanent education (8%) and decision making (4%). These competences are interrelated and developed together with administrative functions: planning, coordination, direction and control. For the development of their attributions in the Family Health Strategies the nurse professionals uses administrative tools demanding constant mobilization of different competences.

Objective: to identify the understanding of nursing students in relation to collaborative work. Methods: a descriptive exploratory study with a qualitative approach, semi-structured interview, held in a Faculty of Curitiba-PR. It included 30 nursing students. Results: through Bardin Content analysis we identified the following categories: collaborative work seen as teamwork; collaborative work between the nursing staff: areas of use; decision-making: understanding the academic students; shared decision: understanding the academic students. Conclusion: collaboration opens an increasing space and positive valuation for individuals, as well as to get different results when it's compared with those obtained by individual effort, the relationship between the members of the group operates on a constructive dependence in terms of valuing the other.

Objective: to identify the graduate design of the last period of a nursing course on the mobilization of leadership in professional nursing practice. Method: descriptive qualitative study with semi-structured interview, held in private College of Curitiba-PR. Six nursing students participated. Results: through the Bardin Content analysis we identified the following categories: features needed for a nurse leader; limiting factors for nursing leadership; and recognition of leadership styles. Conclusions: Although the statements of the students corroborate the literature and show that they have a critical profile with relevant thoughts about the theoretical content on the theme in question, which probably was approached during graduation, the lack of experience in the world of work leads to naive perceptions of leadership in working life.
