The ecumenical significance of the oxford movement
A major conference was held at Keble College, Oxford from July 11th to the 15th, 1983 commemorating the 150th anniversary of the Oxford Movement, a powerful and widely influential religious, political and social phenomenon. The purpose of the conference was to reconsider some of the major themes of the Oxford Movement, both historically and theologically, and thus to add to the renewal of Anglican theology. One theme which the conference did not consider explicitly was the ecumenical significance of the Oxford Movement, the subject of this essay. ; N/A
