Southern Namibia: small-scale rural development: An appraisal of constraints and opportunities

This study attempts to identify the political, economic and socio-cultural constraints to small-scale rural development in the Karas region in southern Namibia. The authors suggest possible ways of overcoming these constraints and provide recommendations to the Government and NGOs on the possible ways of implementing small-scale, income generating projects for the future in consultation with local community.
