Filarial worms that cause human lymphatic filariasis (LF) are transmitted by many species of mosquitoes. Globally, 120 million people are affected, and 40 million are disfigured and disabled by complications such as severe swelling of the legs (elephantiasis). The Global Programme to Eliminate LF (GPELF) aims to interrupt disease transmission through mass drug administration (MDA), and to control illness and suffering in affected persons. The disease is targeted for elimination by 2020 through the treatment of the entire population at risk in endemic areas using a mass drug administration (MDA) strategy. After several years of MDA, there is now growing interest in including vector control as a supplement to MDA to achieve elimination goal. This study is to determine mosquito abundance, transmission, and prevalence of bancroftian filariasis in Ifedayo local government of osun state, Nigeria to determine the existence of bancroftian filarial worm in the mosquitoe vectors as a prerequisite for a search for appropriate vector control methods to complement the ongoing MDA campaign. Mosquitoes like Mansonia, Culex, Aedes were collected indoor and outdoor using Centre for Disease Control (CDC) light trap and examined for infection with filarial worm by microscopy. This xenomonitoring as a proxy to human infection reveals zero W. bancrofti transmission in four towns of Ifedayo Local government of osun state.
This study aims to explore EFL grammar learning through AI-driven contextual conversations at the university level in Arab countries, particularly in Saudi Arabia. To achieve the objectives of the study, 110 students who are enrolled at University of Bisha, Saudi Arabia, participated in this study. Quantitative and qualitative methods were used to collect the data of the study. The participants sat for a pre-test and a post-test, and they participated in filling in a questionnaire that was designed for the purpose. The findings of the study showed that there was an improvement in the post-test after the students used an AI tool for learning English grammar through contextual conversations. The findings of the study also showed that AI is engaging and enjoyable in learning English grammar. The AI tool that the students used enhanced the students' motivation and confidence to learn grammar. The students found that the feedback of the AI tool was clear, constructive, and highly beneficial for learning grammar. It showed that learning grammar by AI tool is more effective as it is used in realistic contexts. Its ease of use was another key factor that helped the students focus on learning without technical barriers. The students' preference for the AI tool over traditional methods suggests that the grammar instruction could benefit significantly from AI integration. The study ended with some recommendations that would certainly benefit the EFL learners, instructors and syllabi makers and enhance the learning environment. Some pedagogical implications are also included accordingly.
The attention to the deductive method began with Imam Al-Ash'ari and the establishment of the rules of theorizing from the first moment of the emergence of the Ash'ari school of thought at the hands of the founder of the school of thought, Abu Al-Hasan Al-Ash'ari, and the scholars who followed after him who wrote theological works. This reflects the great care of the Ash'arism in rooting and theorizing the methods of theory, and setting the methodological rules of reasoning, so he dealt with The research examines the most important comprehensive theological rules through which the Ash'ari reasoned in the doctrinal issues on which Ash'ari theological thought was founded, taking into account the extent of stability or change that occurred in some of these rules along the path of the Ash'ari doctrine. The aim of this study was to answer an important methodological question in formulating the verbal thinking curriculum: It is: What is the impact of comprehensive verbal rules in achieving intellectual consistency and methodological consistency in the theory of verbal reasoning according to the Ash'arism between theory and application? The answer to the nature of this research required delving into the journey of exploring the idea of comprehensive verbal grammar in the theological heritage. It was appropriate for this task to adopt the historical approach in collecting the material and searching for comprehensive grammar in its context from the verbal works approved in the Ash'arite school. It was necessary to study the origins of the theory of verbal grammar. Comprehensive and anticipating the methodological features governing inference, adopting the analytical approach; The approach adopted in this study was a combined approach of the two approaches: historical and analytical, in order to reach the impact of comprehensive verbal rules in both theoretical and applied studies.
