This report provides a basic situation analysis of five Namibian towns: Mariental, Opuwo, Rehoboth, Katima Mulilo and Aminuis. It examines the availability and utilisation of basic services among the town's inhabitants and presents a profile of the poor communities and informal settlements. It also describes government, donor and community-based initiatives that respond to the needs of deprived groups and identifies perceived problems and priorities for interventions. (DÜI-Hff)
