Operación Urbana Consorciada es un instituto de derecho urbanístico brasileño promulgado en 2001 en la Ley Federal 10.257, bajo la influencia de dos matrices teóricas: la francesa y la angloamericana. El instituto actúa por primera vez en 2009 en la ciudad de Río de Janeiro, en el área portuaria, en el proyecto "Porto Maravilha", con más de 800 hectáreas. En 2013 los mismos emprendedores, por una parte, replicaron este proyecto en el área central del municipio vecino, Niterói, con la finalidad de generar al gobierno ingresos de alrededor de mil millones de reales con la venta de Certificados de Potencial Adicional de Construcción (Cepac) de 1.200.000 m2, y por otra, financiar la campaña electoral de 2012. Se pretende demostrar cómo este caso se aleja del referencial teórico del instituto, por subvertir su finalidad. Finalmente, el gobierno municipal, para diluir la resistencia al proyecto, limitó el potencial constructivo al 60% de lo permitido en el Plan Director, induciendo así el costo per cápita de la infraestructura a casi el doble en relación a aquel potencial máximo, además de mostrar la inseguridad jurídica. Por este motivo, mantenerse en el área quedaría muy difícil para aquellas familias con ingresos mensuales de hasta 2 salarios (40% de la población actual del área), evidenciándose que la elitización del área central de la ciudad no sería el mero impacto social del emprendimiento, sino la verdadera finalidad de la propia iniciativa de los socios privados del gobierno municipal. ; Consortium Urban Operation is an institute of Brazilian urban planning law, which was enacted in 2001 by Federal Law 10.257, under the influence of two theoretical matrices: French and Anglo-American. In the city of Rio de Janeiro, the first time the institute is applied is in 2009, in the port area, in the project "Porto Maravilha", with more than 800 hectares. In 2013, the same entrepreneurs replicated the project in the central area of the neighboring municipality, Niterói, in order to generate to the government, whose 2012 electoral campaign was financed by them, a revenue of around R$ 1 billion by sale of Certificates of Additional Building Potential (Cepac, in portuguese) of 1,200,000 m2. It is intended to demonstrate how this case distances itself from the theoretical reference of the institute, by subverting its purpose. After all, the municipal government, in order to reduce the social resistance to the project, limited the building potential to 60% of what is allowed in the Master Plan, thus inducing the per capita cost of infrastructure to almost double that maximum potential, in addition to legal uncertainty. AbstractThis article addresses the challenges of R&D–sales cross‐functional cooperation by exploring how HR practices encourage knowledge transfer, minimising peer‐to‐peer friction and maximising the effectiveness of the exchanges for performance innovation. We combined document analysis of professional HR management magazines and semi‐structured interviews at a Finnish digital media firm, in order to identify manifestations of institutional work expressing and legitimising knowledge transfer‐focused HR management practices, and how employees make sense of them. Our findings identify manifestations of institutional work expressing, sustaining and legitimising knowledge transfer and relate these manifestations to distinct dimensions of human resource management practices. We integrate prevailing institutional expectations and employees' attributions of knowledge transfer‐focused human resource practices, which highlights the connections between human resource management and the knowledge management field, as well as the dichotomy between the more humanist knowledge transfer strategies and those that are information technology‐oriented. Our original integration of institutional expectations and a case analysis of employees' attributions of knowledge transfer‐focused human resource practices contribute directly to management practice dealing with the effects of organising strategically for knowledge‐based innovation outcomes. This has implications in terms of the development of interpersonal skills, the engagement and development of cross‐team work; the design of participative mechanisms; and the implementation of knowledge transfer principles, practices and systems.

PurposeThe purpose of this paper is to increase understanding of employee information security awareness in a government sector setting and illuminate the problems that public sector organisations in a developing context face when seeking to establish an information security awareness programme.Design/methodology/approachAn interpretive research design was followed to develop an empirically enriched understanding of information security awareness perceptions, aspirations, challenges and enablers in the context of Saudi Arabia as a developing country. The study adopts a single-case study approach, including face-to-face interviews with senior employees, as well as document analysis.FindingsThe paper theorises the importance of individual information security awareness, knowledge and behaviour and identifies a number of facilitating conditions: customisation to employee and organisational needs, interactivity, innovation, frequency, integration of both electronic and physical learning resources and rewarding the acquisition of in-depth security-related actionable knowledge.Originality/valueThis study is one of the first to examine information security awareness as a socio-technical process within a government sector organisation in a developing country context.

The recent transport electrification trend is pushing governments to limit the future use of Internal Combustion Engines (ICEs). However, the rationale for this strong limitation is frequently not sufficiently addressed or justified. The problem does not seem to lie within the engines nor with the combustion by themselves but seemingly, rather with the rise in greenhouse gases (GHG), namely CO 2 , rejected to the atmosphere. However, it is frequent that the distinction between fossil CO 2 and renewable CO 2 production is not made, or even between CO 2 emissions and pollutant emissions. The present revision paper discusses and introduces different alternative fuels that can be burned in IC Engines and would eliminate, or substantially reduce the emission of fossil CO 2 into the atmosphere. These may be non-carbon fuels such as hydrogen or ammonia, or biofuels such as alcohols, ethers or esters, including synthetic fuels. This article identifies and theorises the interorganisational socialisation mechanisms that facilitate the knowledge dynamic capabilities of organisations brought together within the applied context of a U.K. Local Enterprise Partnership. Focusing on the Sheffield City Region's Creative and Digital Industries Sector Group, the data for this study were messages posted to the Creative and Digital Industries Sector Group's online consultation platform. Data analysis proceeded through inductive thematic analysis. It is revealed that collaborative workspaces, business networks resources, and pathways to internationalisation are perceived to play an important role in facilitating interorganisational learning. These knowledge socialisation mechanisms are essential to avoid regional competency traps. The article identifies and discusses knowledge socialisation mechanisms that are perceived to play a key role in transferring knowledge between members of the regional system of innovation. In identifying and discussing knowledge socialisation mechanisms, this paper offers knowledge management theorists and practitioners—more specifically, regional knowledge brokers and regional development managers—actionable insight into a range of strategies that reinforce social ties and increase the flow of knowledge with a view to improving innovation outcomes.

The discovery in September 2015 of diesel emissions software cheat technology in Volkswagen (VW) cars initiated a process of organisational crisis management and damage limitation by VW, reflected in the contemporaneous intensive production of public information statements, including press releases, statements to shareholders and investors, and transcripts of oral evidence. Through taking stock of a selection of these public information statements, this article examines the organisational communication management strategies employed to respond to the crisis situation, making an integrated use of attribution, crisis management, and information orientation theories as an interpretive lens. An interpretivist, hermeneutic approach was used to carry out qualitative content analysis on selected statements issued by VW. The analysis reveals that there is a connection between statements relating to attribution and statements relating to information orientation, at the time of the crisis and in preparing future action. Priorities for action form part of the overall crisis management and image restoration approach. Proposed changes in information orientation constitute a key dimension of the company's public response to mitigate the offensiveness of the crisis. The analysis performed demonstrates the applicability of the proposed integration of attribution, crisis management, image restoration, and information orientation theories to better understand and explain how large corporations respond publicly to organisational crisis episodes, more specifically the ways in which attributions, crisis management, and image restoration strategies are related to aspects of information orientation as both components and consequences of the crisis.

Abstract
Background and Purpose: The multinational companies require different approach of human resource management to achieve their goals. The reason is in employees who are working abroad, so-called expatriates. The purpose of the research is to investigate perceptions and experience of the expatriates working in one of the Slovenian multinational company.
Design/Methodology/Approach: The online survey was performed among all expatriates working for the pharmaceutical company. The questionnaire was randomly sent and delivered in an electronic form, structured in an online program named 1ka (https://www.1ka.si). A total of all 12 questionnaires were completed fully and properly.
Results: Results indicate that there are several reasons that expatriates went to work abroad, but none of them did not completely fulfilled the expectations of the expatriates. There are no differences between those expatriates who are working abroad up to 12 months and those who are working more than 12 months in their fulfilment of expectations working abroad for this company.
Conclusion: Based on the findings, the study shows the expatriates importance factors for their contribution of working abroad for the company and fulfilment of their expectations. The results are useful for the employees that will be in the future involved in the expatriation process in this company.

Abstract
Chronic heavy alcohol use profoundly affects the cardiovascular system, contributing to several life-threatening cardiovascular diseases. Heart rate variability (HRV), or the fluctuations in heart rate, reflects dynamic autonomic nervous system processes that change to meet biological demands and environmental challenges. In the current study, we examined whether HRV metrics are altered in alcohol use disorder (AUD) during waking and sleeping with passive biomonitoring as participants went about their daily lives. Social drinkers (standard deviation: n = 10, 5 female) and treatment-seeking individuals with moderate to severe AUD (n = 16, 7 female) provided continuous, real-world heart rate monitoring for 5 days of monitoring on average (M = 5.27 ± 2.22). Five indices of respiration and HRV—respiratory sinus arrhythmia (RSA) amplitude, high frequency (HF), low frequency (LF), HF/LF ratio, root-mean-square standard deviation (RMSSD), and standard deviation of the N–N intervals (SDNN)—were analyzed separately for waking and sleeping hours. Both RMSSD and SDNN decreased the longer the participants were awake (Ps < .013). During sleeping hours, HF, RSA amplitude, RMSSD, and SDNN were significantly higher in light social drinkers as compared to patients with AUD (all Ps < .009), indicating higher parasympathetic activation during sleep in the SD versus AUD group. Sleep and waking HRV measures were significantly correlated with patient-reported symptoms of depression and sleep difficulties in the AUD group (Ps < .05). This natural observational study utilizing continuous autonomic biomonitoring in the real world indicates parasympathetic dysfunction that is clearly detectable during sleep in AUD and HRV measures, which are also related to clinical, patient-related symptoms of AUD.

Este estudo avaliou as tendências emergentes e tópicos relevantes sobre gestão de águas pluviais em ambientes urbanos e sistemas de drenagem que englobam abordagens baseadas na natureza. Com base no banco de dados Scopus, 4.849 artigos publicados entre 1995 e 2023 foram selecionados para a análise bibliometria. O software VOSviewer foi utilizado para agrupar os artigos em temas de importância e Sistemas de Informação Geográfica (SIG) para gerar representação cartográfica anamorfose, demonstrando os locais onde a temática é mais abordada. Além disso, o método de diagrama de cordas foi utilizado para verificar a cooperação internacional em pesquisas sobre a temática. No geral, os resultados revelaram um notável aumento na quantidade de estudos nos últimos anos. Os temas mais abordados estão fortemente vinculados ao escoamento, inundações, tempestades, águas pluviais e qualidade da água. Estados Unidos, China e países europeus se destacaram como principais protagonistas nessas pesquisas. Contudo, há uma crescente colaboração e participação de instituições de países em desenvolvimento na condução de estudos, mostrando uma tendência de internacionalização nas pesquisas. Por fim, verifica-se que não há uma padronização terminológica na abordagem dos sistemas de drenagem pluvial sustentável. Cada região global ou país reflete um entendimento compartilhado localmente, resultando em uma diversidade de terminologias empregadas.

The use of biofuels for spark ignition engines is proposed to diversify fuel sources and reduce fossil fuel consumption, optimize engine performance, and reduce pollutant emissions. Additionally, when these biofuels are produced from low-grade wastes, they constitute valorisation pathways for these otherwise unprofitable wastes. In this study, ethanol and pyrolysis biogasoline made from low-grade wastes were evaluated as additives for commercial gasoline (RON95, RON98) in tests performed in a spark ignition engine. Binary fuel mixtures of ethanol + gasoline or biogasoline + gasoline with biofuel incorporation of 2% ( w / w ) to 10% ( w / w ) were evaluated and compared with ternary fuel mixtures of ethanol + biogasoline + gasoline with biofuel incorporation rates from 1% ( w / w ) to 5% ( w / w ). The fuel mix performance was assessed by determination of torque and power, fuel consumption and efficiency, and emissions (HC, CO, and NOx). An electronic control unit (ECU) was used to regulate the air–fuel ratio/lambda and the ignition advance for maximum brake torque (MBT), wide-open throttle (WOT)), and two torque loads for different engine speeds representative of typical driving. Abstract

Aims
Autonomic dysfunction has been associated with risky drinking and alcohol use disorder (AUD). Although autonomic nervous system (ANS) activity has been attributed to the ventromedial prefrontal cortex (VmPFC)-limbic-striatal regions, the specific role of ANS disruption in AUD and its association with these regions remain unclear. Using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) and concurrent electrocardiogram (ECG), the current study examined neural correlates of ANS activity in AUD and its role in AUD pathology.


Methods
Demographically matched 20 AUD patients and 20 social drinkers (SD) completed an fMRI task involving repeated exposure to stress, alcohol-cue and neutral-relaxing images in a block design. Based on the known VmPFC-limbic-striatal functions involved in emotions, reward and the ANS, we performed a regions of interest (ROI) analysis to examine the associations between ANS activity and neural responses in the VmPFC, amygdala, and ventral striatum.


Results
Across conditions, AUD patients showed significantly higher levels of overall heart rate (HR) and approximate entropy (ApEn) compared to SD (Ps < 0.05). In all participants, increased HR was associated with greater drinking volume (P < 0.05). In addition, higher ApEn levels were associated with greater drinking volume (P < 0.05) and decreased right VmPFC response to stress (P < 0.05).


Discussion
Our findings demonstrate ANS disruption in AUD indexed by high overall HR and ApEn. The association between ApEn and rVmPFC response suggests that ApEn may play a role in modulating drinking via interactions with neural regions of emotion regulation. These findings provide insight into patterns of ANS disruption and their relevance to AUD pathology.
