The process that led to Germany's unification, on 3rd October 1990, is often said to apply to China and Korea as it was both peaceful and approved by the two Germanies' citizens. However, many observers argue that the German model cannot apply to the other two divided nations because of their totally different circumstances. The author explores the factors contributing to German unification and discusses their feasibility in the context of Chinese and Korean unification. (DÜI-Sen)
