With the increase of China's international status and influence, the subjects in international exchanges no longer remain at macro level, while shifting towards a more professional and concrete dimension. This paper takes the Spanish-Chinese simultaneous interpretation in political/diplomatic activities as an example, departing from the perspective of Schema Theory and incorporated with the author's own interpreting training, teaching and practical experience. It aims atputting forward certain translating concepts and coping tactics, highlighting the virtue of knowledge orcontent schema in interpreting, especially in the practice and training of simultaneous interpretation, hoping to provide some reference to instructors and practitioners in translation education and forcareer development.
This thesis focuses on High-speed rail (HSR) development and its interactions with airline. First, this thesis studies the impacts of government initiatives on the spatial transformation of transport and regional systems. We further study the Chinese HSR by reviewing its network evolution and projecting its future development. Second, we conduct a macroeconomic comparison between HSR and Low-cost carrier in Japan and Western Europe. The findings reveal that Japan and Europe have both promoted HSR as the government key project, but the European government has a more liberal attitude towards its aviation sector compared with the Japanese government. Third, we summarize all the air-rail partnerships around the globe and investigate the potential driving forces behind different partnership levels with an econometric model. We find that the location of the train station has the largest impact on the partnership level. Finally, major results and future research directions are discussed. ; October 2017
This article deals with the controversial issue of F.M. Dostoevsky's concept of "Higher Individuals." The latter are people who rise above other people and have a special influence on society and on history. The authors argue that this concept is most clearly expressed in "The Diary of a Writer" (1876) as well as in the story "The Sentence", along with Dostoevsky's commentaries on this story. By means of a detailed analysis of Raskolnikov's "theory" within the novel "Crime and Punishment", it is demonstrated that only a superficial version of the concept of "higher individuals" is refuted in the heroes' argumentations; at the same time, the novel's characters – Marmeladov, his wife Katerina Ivanovna, and Raskolnikov – can be viewed as examples of different degrees in the personal accomplishment of this "higher personality" state. In conclusion, it is observed how a person must go through three stages of development in order to become a "higher character": firstly, the experience of an existential crisis and the understanding of the lack of meaning in one's life; secondly, the "rebellion" against the Creator of the world and its laws along with the rejection of the traditional church faith, whose rejection leads this person on the edge of suicide; thirdly, the acquisition of a new faith, first of all, a faith in one's immortality, which happens in an unusual, unorthodox form, as is well demonstrated by the character of Svidrigailov in Dostoevsky's novel. According to Dostoevsky's doctrine, the meaning ofimmortality lies in the continuation of a person's existence in a new form in the earthly world or in a "parallel" world similar to the earthly one, and not in the ideal Kingdom of Heaven, as the church claims. Finally, the authors maintain that the process of a character's transformation into a "higher individual" was consistently and fully described by Dostoevsky in the stories of Raskolnikov and Ivan Karamazov.
The rapid growth of postgraduate education in China necessitates the imperative to augment the innovative behaviors of postgraduates. The purpose of this study was to explore whether a supportive mentoring style affects the innovative behavior of master's degree students and the potential role that academic aspiration may play in the relationship between the two. A time-lag questionnaire was given to 911 master's degree students in central China for Study 1. The results revealed that a supportive mentoring style positively predicted innovative behavior. Furthermore, the connection between a supportive mentoring style and innovative behaviors was mediated by academic aspirations. Study 2 matched five pairs of students with mentors to administer the survey using semi-structured interviews. The results confirmed the mechanisms through which supportive mentoring styles impact innovative behavior and provided more evidence for them. This study examines the development path of master's degree students' innovative behavior, reveals how internal (academic aspiration) and external (mentoring) factors impact such behavior, and offers insights into graduate students' educational practices.

With the increase in master's degree enrollment in China, ensuring the realization of value-added research skills of master's degree students with limited educational resources has become an urgent problem. We developed hypotheses and tested the mediating effect of academic passion (AP) in the role of training environment satisfaction (TES) on research skill increment (RSI) and the moderating role of academic self-efficacy (ASE) using the perspective of Research Training Environment Theory (RTE). We used a structured questionnaire to collect responses from 911 master's students from universities in central China, including 458 males (50.27%) and 453 females (49.73%), and 66.41% of the subjects were between the ages of 23 and 26. Our findings indicate that TES significantly impacts RSI and can influence RSI via a partially mediated effect of AP. In addition, we determined the moderating effect of ASE between the effects of the three variables. Based on RTE theory, we introduced the concept of value-add assessment and combined the two to realize the expansion of RTE theory. This study has implications for administrators and individuals in graduate education. It can help administrators make changes to the management model or methods of graduate education, as well as provide some inspiration for developing and improving master's students' research skills.
